Naslund curve but not so open

Recommended Posts

Have been using the Naslund curve for quite a while but would like to find the same curve without the open face. I have become very skilled at shooting the puck over the net...why did they make the net so short?

None of the other Bauer sticks seem to fit the bill (the Lindros is not the same curve and is a shorter length). Am partial to Bauer but realize other brands are out there. Any of you have any suggestions?

Am a long time lurker having read many posts on this site. Very educational and is nice to have this source of information readily available.

Thanks!

Does anyone agree that the Nash has less loft and a bit less curve than the Naslund?

I wouldn't say it's a significant difference

Probably, my head can't get used to the nash either. Seems different than the Sakic for some reason. :)

I find it to be different from the sakic also. I find there is less loft.

I would say that Nash is the best option for you.

An Easton Sakic would probably be ideal. I came from using a Sakic to a Naslund and I have the same problem of shooting the puck over the net.

I went between a Sakic (similar enough to Naslund) and Lindros pretty easily. Right now I'm using a Lindros as the curve allows me to shoot anywhere from the mid to the toe. It's got plenty of curve to help get some spin and height on the puck but it's not so open like the Sakic that I'm sailing over the crossbar.

Of course, the first couple sessions, I had a couple shots that went almost over the glass and I've tagged a couple goalies up high (whoops). But after a few skates I'm able to tuck it in just under the crossbar.

nike id p29, says its similar to the p92(naslund) with less curve for better backhand passes and slapshots, check it out in the id section of the nbh site. its not just a closed face, the curve is lessened but i believe the shape of the blade is the same as the p92 naslund still, not sure, havent seen it in person st the booth yet.

The P29 is a mid-toe curve with a lesser curve???? Thats Awesome. I didnt know that this was even around. The Pattern DB says it's a mid curve.

his OPS seem to pop up on ebay rather frequently as well. XXXLites and dolomites, usually go for around $100. From the pics they look to be more of a heel though.
