Crosby's New Stick/skates

Recommended Posts

The comp I'm at is garbage but it looks like he's got a wood blade in there still, anyone else notice this?

It appears that you're right. Definitely shaft+blade.

It still looks like a sickick to me, just painted for Penguins colors.

Pics are up on the Penguins website with Sidney Crosby making a surprise visit at a hockey summer camp and he has a Rbk stick, the stick looks like it is black and gold like the Penguins colors anyone know if RBK is coming out with a new stick, it is definitely not an O-stick and doesnt look like the 7k sick kick

He made the same "surprise" visit last year.

It would not surprise me in the least that RbK is having the exact same shaft made that he was using with Sherwood. After all, RbK has partnered up with that same OEM on other products for the 2007 retail year, as well as some pro sticks for 2007-08.

I think Easton is the only one not making sticks for RbK, last I heard they had a ton of different stick OEMs.

Someone asked earlier in the thread and no one really replied, but is the Crosby Curve not coming out on 9/1/07 like was earlier thought?

I play with the Sherwood Crosby stick and love it. I'm going to be needing another stick and was waiting for the RBK one to come out. What is the word?

Ya there's no green where the Pump is and I couldnt make out the RBK SYMBOL either.

on the last pic that marc 9 posted, you can clearly see the pump on his skates. so i'm gonna say they're just 9ks.

sorry i forgot to mention that pic was taken earlier on in july so he was still using his 9ks then....but he'd been into my lhs to get an eyelet fixed on his 9ks and he told my lhs manager that he was going to start using his 10k's soon (that was at the end of july).

No, it's not. It is not even confirmed if he is switching to RBK. We'll find out at training camp.

You're talking retail patterns, right? If so, the Sherwood "Crosby", and the pics RBK has released of their hopefully-soon-to-be "Crosby" pattern are 2 completely different patterns. The Sherwood "Crosby" is just like an Easton "Sakic", and I believe (not 100%) a RBK "Datsyuk"

...so if you like the Sherwood pattern, and you hold out for the RBK one, you're going to be pretty disappointed, because they're 2 totally different curves.

It is a typical move by any stick company.....to slap the name of their biggest endorsement icon on their most popular curve.

The sher-wood crosby is not a sakic clone...it's a heel curve.

I just got back from a try out the 9KO here in quebec with the rep of RBK.It was hard to know anything about the crosby stuff but the only thing the guy said after 20 minute of hard negociation is "i can t say anything not even that Sid did a NEW photo shoot with new gear in toronto Wednesday.

So i guess new gear and new poster of RBK soon.On a side note my shot was weaker then i knew 76 mph :/.I now respect the 100 mph slapshot

There were two different sher-wood Crosby curves, one was a sakic type of curve.

my RBK rep told me as of 9-1-07 his sherwood deal is done, and his new sticks will be made by them. his retail curve is in the rbk 07 players book, it looks like an iginla to me..

You're just rehashing old info and confusing people.

If the P87 were available on 9/1/07, I would've been able to order it back in January when I did my bookings. Not only that, it would be on the RBK website, which has everything that is listed in the catalogue.

.

And here's proof -

http://en.rbkhockey.com/#/gear/

Click on sticks, then "download all sticks"

http://en.rbkhockey.com/pdf/player/playersticks_web.pdf

No P87.

ONCE AGAIN - we were told to disregard it. In December 2006.

the most recent Sherwood "Crosby" pattern is a Sakic clone.. it was previously a heel curve..

Correct. They have gone as far as to put "SA" on the blade.

I heard something similar to the first post aswell. I overheard a conversation that a worker at my LHS was having. All he said was "Ya, RBK's designing a stick special for Crosby."
