Tuckers New Skates

Recommended Posts

The skates didn't seem to change the amount of time he spent floppin' around on the ice...is it me, or does that guy fall down like 20 times per game ???!!

Maybe because he's like 5'8 and he will go and hit anyone on the ice! Are there any other players who use this trilage stick and are they any good? I've never heard of it before!

Edit I found their site with their players, but how is the performance?

Boot yes, holder no.

Definately Mission they are too tapered around the heel to be Grafs.

Too tapered? They are tapered around the heel just like Grafs. Look at the toe caps also.

I like these skates. I'm not one for flashy skates but these I would actually wear. Would have to put tuuk's on them though.

Honestly, for me... If they fit right, great. Fit comes first, looks come later. I loved the look of the Supreme 50's, but they killed my foot. My foot actually hurt, while wearing them, this was a first. So I went down to a Vapor 16 and they felt like pure gold. Even though it was a step down, it's a step down I was willing to take, for that kind of fit. Now I just hope they perform.

yeah look at the tendon guards... i'm almost positive they're grafs.

Pro Stock Tendon Guards for Mission generally are the Neoprene short stubby versions found on the original Flyweight. dont judge them as Grafs because of the Tendon Guards. Check Ballard, Leopold and Rafalskis skates.

I was at the game Saturday and Darcy is most definitely back to skating on Grafs.

is his triliage really a painted warrior, too?

He was using true Trilag. Haven't seen this year, but I think he is on them. They have a fairly strong Toronto representation (comparative to other areas) and have had a few Leafs using them (Newbury, Tucker, Cola).

I just looked at the picture again and for reference, I had my 110-AG's next to me and I noticed some other things alluding to them nor being Missions.

-They are missing the scuff guard thing. (could be prostock but I thought I would throw it out there)

-No Mission Lace Wedge thing (where the laces are at the point of forward flex)

- And if you look closely, the design is different on the heel. Again I know it may not mean much but its just an observation.

First off, you're comparing a model that is new to your model, which isn't the same year.

Second, like rugdnit said (who is a Mission rep) there are different tendon guard options. I know - I've seen the spec sheet and I have two pair of custom Mission boots. Eyelet orientation can also be changed.

his sticks are true trilage. anyone can see his sticks have a wierd shaped shaft, so its plain to see.

let me both introduce you to my friend Sarcasm. you've probably both met him, but forgot who he was due to stupidy or other mitigating factors.

Hard to detect sarcasm in writing, especially when similar questions are (honestly) asked all of the time. There's also no need to be abusive to other members.
