Are you crazy? There will be a consequence. I believe it is worse than Downie's hit and Simon's crossface on that NYR guy. Atleast the guy took it head on but in this case Kesler didn't see it coming and the hit was so bad Boulerice snapped his stick. And for added stupidity he tries to drop the gloves when the man is down....i would be shocked if he got recieved less than 20 games.

On a positive note, it looks like Kesler was not seriously hurt aside from an extremely swollen jaw. Classy move by the Flyers' GM on apologizing in person after the game.

Just turned on the game in time to see the hit during the replay of the game. This has to be more than Downie's suspension, 40 games at a minimum. There is no way anyone could even attempt to justify that hit and since this is another fringe player, the NHL can really lower the boom without any real repercussion.

Last year with the way Simon incident was handled they showed that they were turning over a page. The Flyers had the game in hand by a mile and the game wasn't until that point so if there was ever a time to not do that that was it.

Although I believe if Kesler was seriously injured a stiffer penalty would be imposed. I have faith Colin Campbell!

Puck was gone. That was all deliberate, he has a history, then when Kessler is floored and out of it, you see Boulerice taking off the gloves as if he's going to fight him too.

This one was so late, it wasn't a late hit after a play, it was an attack when the play was gone.

I'm saying 30 games minimum for this. This was worse than Simons last year, which was a retailtory heat of the moment thing after being boarded.

you know everyone mentions him dropping the gloves being a factore against him... look at it from the stand point he went to drop the gloves because he wasnt expecting to nearly kill the guy and thought he did enough to goad him into a fight.
