Demon Hot Shot Radar Puck

Anyone tried one of these? http://www.betterhockey.com/store/ItemDeta...spx?item_id=479 Seems like a pretty good idea, and it's affordable at $40. I'm a bit skeptical about it being able to stand up to slap shots, and they also don't say how much it weighs, and if it is rechargable or has a replaceable battery.

have one at work, but I haven't really had a chance to use it or see if it works. But it would hold up to slapshots

Do you know if its batteries are replaceable? and also it's weight in comparison to a normal puck. Thanks

no idea on batteries. Weight seemed identical. I literally picked it up, said neat, and put it on the shelf in the corner

tried it last night, got wristers 76-87 mph (believable arguably)

and a few slappers up to 105, i call BS there

Ive gotten slappers on a radar gun in the low 90's.

im a bit curious if the sudden stop (net, post) gives falsely high readings

I know it can for the "radar" baseballs, atleast the one I had when I was younger

We have some at our store. I would say they are garbage. Inaccurate and not reliable. The one our owner demo'd stopped working after 45 mins of shooting.

I have one (bought it from a user on this board). I could never quite figure out how to get the dang thing to work properly as it works based on being a specific distance to the boards and I couldn't figure out a spot on the ice to work from. Next time I should take a digital laser tape to mark a distance off I guess, but 5 minute warm ups were just too short to pull all that crap together, and I don't hit stick and puck anymore.
