revolutionz_s13 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Hey all, just spent some time reading/searching, couldnt find the answer that I was looking for.I am going to buy a new stick, coming from a one90, and think i am going to try out an easton for the first time. i have been at my lhs looking at the synergy's, specifically the ST and the elite. my question is, what is the difference between the two sticks? I cannot tell that much of a difference by holding them, and yet there is a $40 price tag difference. Is the elite worth the extra $40?Thanks.
Scurvy 3 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Elite-lighter, better performance, less durabilityST-slightly heavier, good performance, much more durabilityIf you cannot tell the difference in weight between these two sticks, just get the ST.
Tyler B 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 cant go wrong with either. but id go with the st personaly. excelent performance and really not that much heavier than the se.
tips09 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Just like to add that the ST is alot like the one 90 compared to the SE. I loved my ST great stick good durability and good performance. Go with the ST escpecially if money is a factor.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 The SE is a better performing stick but the cost is durability. The ST still performs and is much more durable. You have to ask what's more important to you.
lotus 2 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Personally I went with the ST here, and after two (short) leagues, it shows no cracks or signs of breaking. It feels like a very wise investment, but I'm a poor college student so I choose durability over anything else almost every time. You cannot be disappointed with it though. Go with the ST escpecially if money is a factor.money is and isn't a factor. I obviously don't want to spend more money than needed, but if it came to the point where the SE was that much better for $40, then i don't mind spending the money. I think I am going to go with the ST. I am all for durability, I have beat the hell outta my one90, it has gouges 1/2 way up the shaft...I think I will like the easton, i have never used anything other than bauer sticks, but have tried my buddys older synergy(not sure what model) and that seemed to have a good feel to it. mack 44 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Late and with the crowd, but I'd go with the ST as well. If you'd be trying an SE, I've felt no noticeable difference between it and an SL.
oilers4ever 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 SE is not only the least durable easton but its probably the least durable one piece stick out there? can anyone else tell me a one piece stick that they find less durable?

dbeck 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Not going back to another One90?I just broke my One90...also thinking about the ST...they are on sale locally for 130 Canadian...but manage to find only Lisdtrom curve so far...If I can't find different curve in that stick, I will probably go back to another One90... Im not a big fan of the taper of the one90 for wristers. I was going to get the xxxx, but my lhs does not have the curve I want, so i decided i should try easton. I will probably get a xxxx down the road also, but just wanna broaden my horizons with different sticks. I would also like to try a warrior down the road too. shifter 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 St are at least 200$ i canada and the old green one (only lidstrom curve) for about 130$. I wanted the St but didn't have the money to buy it. Its a great stick but i chose the rbk sickick and its also a pretty good stick.
wetwilly17 6 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 i would definately get the ST. eastons high-performance sticks like the SE have such weak blades. they either delaminate at the toe (from face offs or from digging pucks off the wall) or they delaminate internally from slap shots. i won't buy another unless i get a really good deal.however the ST is a different story. the blade is thicker and much more durable. my toe is chewed up a little but it doesn't delaminate at all. i use the ST as my backup stick/drop in stick and it has been the longest lasting OPS i have ever bought. A2rhino 76 Report post Posted October 26, 2007 Warrior Kronik. Hands down.Bro your on the Kronik. First off the guy is asking a specific question about the SE and the ST. Second; that stick is not worth a dollar more than an SE GRIP, if even that.

ramensandwich 1 Report post Posted October 26, 2007 i've used one of those neon green ST's for 3 years, that thing is a tank. toe is chewed up a little bit, but it's still going strong...i'd recommend it hands down.
revolutionz_s13 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2007 went and picked up the ST today, and got a chance to skate with it. took a little adjusting to at first, it loaded a bit different than the one90 did on the wrist shot....seemed like the ST starts to load very easy, then gets quickly stiffer, whereas the one90 i would just have to lay into it to load it....so far I like the stick, but still prefer the one90 for slappers....the ST just doesn't let em loose like the one90, but that is fine for me. I am very happy with it at this point.
