Guitar Hero/ Rock Band

Anybody else pick up this gem? I got it yesterday afternoon and blew through most of the game (the soundtrack is fantastic this time I have to say) Up until the last tier. Currently Only have One and Raining blood left to beat before I try my hand at Dragonforce.

This is easily my favorite of the series so far the only problem is I got another X-plorer guitar instead of the new wireless Les Paul from Walmart for my 360.

It was a 3 week wait for them to get shipped out again, I wanted to play now and the wireless was not a big deal for me.

How different is the PS2 version from the next gen versions other than online?

I have yet to play it, but a friend of mine picked it up on sunday for his 360 and had it finished in expert by 4 on monday afternoon...that includes 3 classes on monday, haha.

We've got a GH3 night planned for tomorrow, I'll give you my feedback then. I've been a pretty hardcore player of GH1 and 2, didn't like Encore so much, but am really lookin forward to this new release.

I wish they'd make a Guitar Hero Gothenburg edition with (more) In Flames, At the Gates, Soilwork, The Duskfall, Children of Bodom....or just a metal version in general.

Yeah..I was pumped when I got to the end and you unlock a DragonForce song..The game is pretty intense though..I can't wait until they update it so you're able to download tracks via Xbox Live.

I don't play guitar, and haven't really taken a crack at any of the GH's yet...but i saw Slash on Conan the other night, and he said that any guitar player will find GH more difficult than you would think. And that he sucks at it.

So i guess if Slash sucks at GH, you shouldnt feel that bad? :lol:

I play guitar and i'm decent at it. As soon as I pick up Guitar Hero it's all down hill. Even just the normal stuff is difficult for me. Needless to say i'm not a big fan of the game.

On the other hand my friends that dominate GH can't play anything to save their lives on a real guitar.
