Caps are playing well but having to outplay the refs and the other team is getting old quick.

Refs are becoming way too one sided for teams.

This is what I was answering. Every team will have games where they feel like they're gettign jobbed by the refs.

ovechkin pushed his way past (can't remember who) and was called for roughing.

Mike Green was breaking between 2 d-men, was blatantly tripped with the stick, no call.

Poti was boarded, no call.

I know it's always the losing team who complains about the refs, but the caps won, the reffing still sucking huge donkey balls

not to mention when Ovie got high sticked. he just checked for blood and kept playing. Didn't even look for a call

It has been discussed before. Brash shouldn't have gotten 6 mins. He was shoved after the whistle and the Boston player flopped on the ice like a little girl.

Now the Poti call was bogus, followed by the Erskine call. Oh and the head ref is from Boston and what a concidence every game he has reffed in Boston this season they have won .... call it what you will but if we miss the playoffs by 2 pts. He is 1 of the many to blame.

Kobasew is out for the balance of the season, the Caps may want to pack their bags for 8th place.

What hnidy did was the same as Witt done a while back, look at the clip, after the collision, he flinches as if he is going to hit the donald, the donald has quicker hands. Exact same thing with witt before

Also, it's not that he was too smart, it's that he was too on his ass.

i think Brash could have had a 5 for what he did... if it was Avery we would be calling for it..... the only poor call (and when you watch the replay it is very poor) was the one on Erskine. Poti chopped the guys stick in half... he didn't have much success on his first two swings, so it may have been the third that did it.

It was really the Erskine call that started everything because boston coudn't even sniff a goal 5 on 4 and that is the ONE and ONLY call that you should be upset about

I know. As much as it causes my ulcer to act up, I will be rooting for the pens twice this season against the flyers.

The bruins and flyers definately have tougher schedules, so at this stage, the caps need to take care of their games and hope boston choke like a southsider in a confessional

I'm starting to doubt the caps playoff chances... simply because Boston and Philly aren't losing.

What happens if Washington is tied in points with either of those two teams? Is it conference record, wins or headsup record?

I think their best chance is to leap frog philly. The flyers have the devils and pens twice each down the stretch!

Actually their best chance is probably to snatch Carolina, since they will face them, and the canes and philly are tied in points and games.

But if the devils can get their act together philly should be more feasable i guess.
