Nike Bauer Pro Stick Code Letters

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what the last letter on the name bar on NikeBauer pro stock sticks is meant to indicate? For instance, I have a pro stock XXXLite stick that says:

P91

87

A

I realize the P91 is the pattern (it's the same as the retail P91, and not a P91A true Drury clone)

The 87 is the flex

But what's the significance of the "A"? I have another stick that says "D" as the final letter.

Sorry for the nickpicking question. Any help is appreciated...

There were tons of topics on this before. But i'm not sure if they're still out there. Do some searching. From what I recall it means how many different patterns that specific player has ordered.

TPS uses the letter as the revision number on custom patterns, but that wouldn't be the case on stock patterns.

thickness/amount of grip or revision number... been a long time since we discussed this, my memory is fuzzy.

I believe it may be the amount of grip on NBH sticks.

The Letter refers to the type of construction.

I got a batch of Pro Stock XXX Lites from Nike Bauer and there was a sticker on the outside of the package that had all the sticks info and it said Construction Type:A. It has something to do with the thickness of the walls of the shaft, im not sure what else.

i got an broken in half Andrew Ference Vapor XXXX from this morning and it says B on it.. no tactile.. a good amount of grip.

Interesting. When I talked to my local NBH rep thats what he had said, though he claimed he wasn't certain.

One thing I can tell for sure is that A has no grip, and D has considerably grip.

I was pretty sure that it was grip. Thickness A to D, all are stickum type grip. I think B or C was retail stickum.

Again, not 100% sure but I'm pretty confident that was what the code stood for.

Im guessing everyone who has replied saying it is the grip type didn't read my post earlier. The Letter has nothing to do with the type of grip on the stick.

I've had a D One90 which was tactile+stickum, have a D chrome/gold One90 that's just stickum and an A XXX Lite that is just stickum as well.

I have an Easton 110 flex T-Flex shaft that does not have grip nor an accompanying letter.

That would be from the Pre-Grippage Era. The hockey world was a simpler place then.

my xxx-lite with tactile grip has this

07414-1

95

C

95 is the flex

C is tactile grip?

but what the heck is 07414-1?

It's some sort of pattern indicator, probably with a revision of "1".

Hey guys, this is a little different but relative to the conversation. Inside my retail 85 flex dolomite, there is a sticker that says 85 over 3030

Can anyone help me on what the 3030 stands for? I know the 85 is the flex.
