Canadiens get spanked by Ribeiro

Recommended Posts

For the first time in my life, i was cheering for the opposing team...

Dude is money, hes leading another NHL team in scoring, if this keeps up this will be his 3rd, i think he should be at the all star game in Atlanta...

Way to go Mike...

He's having a good year, no doubt, but I still think he's a d-bag. It's also better to just state the kind of year he's having and don't point out he's leading the Stars in scoring. Being the top scorer on the Stars is like being the smartest retard.

wow comments like that makes me realize he will never be respected, they said that about him at every level, Midget, QMJHL and now NHL...

A NHL team is a NHL team, move him somewhere else and he would be tops again, the cream always rise to the top...

If he was still in Montreal he'd be underachieving with 8-12 goals and 21-25 points. He'd still be whining that his "boys" Theo and Dagenais weren't around anymore, and the media would be tearing him up on a daily basis.

Talent...yes...attitude...YES. He's better off in Big D. Having said that...it would have been nice if the player they got back had worked out, but Ribs HAD to go. He was never going to flourish in MTL.

He could lead the league in scoring and will still be a d-bag in my eyes. Unless he had fingers amputated and came back to play the same night, I will always remember his little "injury" he had a couple years ago.

Come on, everybody knows that Knuble ran him on that play.

In case, someone did not get it while this brutal and oh so sad incident happened:

In the past, you'd be right, but right now they're 10th in the NHL in goal scoring. Plus, Morrow seems to be keeping him straight, for the time being.

He took a hit, stayed on his feet and drove the net to score a goal last night. He didn't do things like that when he was in Montreal.

Of course he did not do that, he was still in a kids body, anybody who knows him knows that he was not strong yet, he was doing it all with his vision, he is just now beginning to be a "MAN", only now can he start hitting...

It's kind of like Briere, this guy at one time was on wavers and after he finished growing hes an all star, not everybody can be a 18 year old pro...

Like I said, I spoke to him in the off season and he told be that it did hurt because the impact was right where he broke his collar bone on a Volchenkov hit that same year but admitted that he over reacted, once he realized that he was showing weakness he started to act like he was ok because as we know in playoffs your "suppose" to hide injuries...

that was 5 years ago, he was 21 at the time, people still crucify him for it...

Anyway as he looked at it in retrospect he understands how it made people feel about him but honestly, even in his pewee days in school, people always "HATED" on him as he filled the net even tho he was supposedly too slow, too small, too thin, too weak...

Then at the CHL prospect game he whore #99 in honor of his idol but people took that wrong too...

One thing about Mike that people hate is that hes confident, so hes "cocky" and god know people love to see those guys mess up...

Look at Floyd Mayweather in boxing, hes flamboyant and confidant but because he is like that people will never considar him as the best even tho his numbers and his performance proves it

No, he would have been writhing on the ice, looking like he had just taken a bullet to the gut. He has matured quite a bit in Dallas. I don't believe that would have happened in Montreal.

The player the Ribeiro was in Montreal is not = to the player that he is now in Dallas. First two totally different style of hockey in the east and west. He has more ice team in Dallas, he has matured alot and to conclude, I think Ninimma isn't doing to bad playing with Davos, I just saw the game on Sportsnet :P.

I agree with you, I just don't believe that transformation happens if he stays in Montreal.

He had to become a great player after his unbelievable QJMHL career. This guy dominated the league just like Briere, Lecavalier, Richards, etc. did recently. You can dominate Junior hockey and not do well in the NHL but those numbers usually mean something.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. It was a puss move, plain and simple. Writhing in pain on the ice, talking smack to Lapointe from the bench.
