The Rangers suck chant at Devils games...against teams that are not the Rangers.

That's almost as annoying as a "Yankees suck" chant.... at an AHL game in Worcester.

Got my biggest pet peeve today.

Went too go see my buddy play in the novie legue. The other teams player must have told his high school buddies to come watch. All you hear is, "Come on hit him!". I just wanted to say to them, listen the Tampa Arena is a little bit more down from here if you wan to see "big hits". This is a non checking league you idiots. Then they wouldn't shut up the whole game. Along the lines of "This is all old people", "What is this tennis?", "Yah! Concrete him the penlty box" and the list of Childish comments go on. They must not have seen the BIG sign that says "Please support players and officials Only positively". Biggest pet peeve to date.

Was at the rangers game yesterday and i have a list.

- The Ovie sucks chant. I had forgotten how many goals do you have in the NHL.

- The people who scream shoot and when the shot is then blocked they scream about that

-People who dont know what they're talking about but THINKthey do.

every coyotes game i've gone to since 98, some retardedly dense people in that crowd sometimes i cant stand being in that crowd unless i have my headphones, sad as it is. granted some parts are good, but some are just unbearable

Went to a Manatiboa Moose v Houston Aero's game a couple of years ago and there were the drunken local bogans sat behind us shouting "STOOOOOOONEEERRRRRR!!" "Stoner want a bong hit?!" All game long....

I heard some pretty bad things from fans whilst playing too... some are funny, some are funny but innappropriate and others just erase the line altogether.

The guy that yells "OFFSIDE!" everytime the other team pass the blue line. I mean... really??

One guy yelling after a player gets hit from behind "That was a backcheck!"

When we're on the PK, they yell "GET INTO THEM!"

What I can't stand it when people wear a jersey to a game from a team thats not even playing. For example Sabres and Philly are playing and a guy has a Habs jersey on! Fucking kills me. The other thing is when people yell to rush the shot on the power play. Let them cycle for a better shot. They are the pro's here!

My biggest pet peeve happened a couple weeks ago when I took my older two kids to a Houston Aeros game: people who come to the game and are completely uninterested in the actual game. This large group of 8-10 people came waltzing in in the middle of the 1st period WHILE play is going on. Clutching cocktails in one hand, talking on cell phones in the other... taking forever to take their seats... then rearranging to make sure each person was sitting next to their BFF... then while talking on their phones and all standing up and turning around for a minute or so to wave at their friends in another section. Basically my view of the game was killed for a few minutes while all this was going on... during which I missed a goal. When they do pay casual attention to the game, they chant "Fight, Fight, Fight!" anytime there is a hit. Then they leave halfway through the third in a tie game.

Snagged company tickets to a Leafs/Flyers game at the ACC. Face value for the pair? Close to $500.Most of the people around me were either texting, absent or talking to each other and ordering f$%#@ing sushi! Meanwhile, the hockey fans can't afford tickets. Most of the people around me who were excited to be at the game and in such great seats were all like me-on some corporate tickets for a one-time deal.

You're also bang on with the texting and ordering food, it was actually annoying knowing these people dont give a rats ass about the game. Toronto has a massive fan base, and could easily fill up the ACC every game. Im lucky to find tickets to ONE game a year, while these suit-wearing fans have no issue finding tickets and not even watching the game. I hope the leafs get some new owners, but im not even sure if that would make a difference.

On a side note, i really cant stand the "USA" chants that come up when theres a Canada vs America game. There's really no point to it seeing each team has people from both countries. I dont understand it at all lol

The everyday fan isn't going to pay what teams get for the club/corporate seats. The team doesn't care if they all get used or who they are used by, they only care that they all get sold. Remember, it is those high priced corporate seats that make the nosebleeds even marginally affordable in many cities.

That doesn't negate it as a pet peeve. It makes business sense but its still tremendously annoying and irritating.

The TSN broadcast crews have taken to pointing out how many US born players are on the teams when that chant starts. *L* Habs/Bruins...I think Montreal had 7 Americans and Boston only had 5.

I'm pretty sure Boston only has 1 American player. It is just the fans having some fun with each other. Tons of Montreal fans make the trip down to Boston for the games.
