I just saw it live myself. As the announcer said, "sick, sick sick". He got poked at the end by the goalie (I think), then he kicks it up to his stick and buries it. Straight up NASTY.

Charlie Conway's triple deke has no work for that one. The announcers said "I guess that makes up for the high sticking penalty that he took that allowed Phoenix to tie the game." Yea, no sh!t.

I'm a big believer in that. How often do you see guys just kind of slide it at the net and the goalie manages to get a piece of it, just because it's still on the ice? Finish it with a little bit of authority.

i just happened to be accidentally watching that game when he did that. I think he was as suprised as anyone when the puck came back to him after the goalie poke checked it. Anyway, he made those two defensemen look foolish - makes me wonder how many points he would be able to rack up if was one a high powered offense like ottawa or detroit..

I think 3/4 of the way up is the sweet spot, giving yourself a little room for error.

Sick goal, hands down more than likely the goal of the year so far.

BUT, what terrible defense. I couldn't see who was out there but two one on one's burned like they aren't even standing there. Ouch.
