If Colorado was healthy and doing better, i would think he would go there. But since that didnt work out, hes gotta go to the ducks.

no, I dont think he'll go to the Ducks. Flyers is my guess

No need to guess, that's where he's going.

That's my guess, too, but I still think there's a chance he'd go to the Avs. A side of me would be really depressed to see him on a team with Downie. Downie doesn't deserve to share a locker room with Forsberg. On a positive note, with Richards stepping up big and Smith being added to the team, a lot of the vocal locker room leadership pressure is taken off of Forsberg and he can focus on performing on the ice. So, Philly, as it is consituted now, could be a really good set up for him.

Speaking of Smith, what number for Forsberg take? I wonder if that is the sort of thing he even cares about.

Say hello to the Capitals who wouldn't want to play with Ovi haha. JK it would be nice to replace one injured swed (Nylander) with another.

Forsberg might take Downie's spot unless someone else gets moved (like Upshall or Carter).

his arrogance will end up costing him...

what arrogance are you talking about exactly? the fact that he can only sign with one team so hes letting the teams he wont sign with well in advanec before the deadline that he wont sign with them so they have time to form a new plan instead of fucking 29 teams over last second? (obvioulsy not 29 but the amount that he would reject)

I just found a reason to cheer for Forsberg to go to Philly.

Not knowing the condition of his foot and if it's healed to the point where he can play more than 5-10 games, I'd still like to see him go back to the Avs.

I think it's only fitting that he retires as a member of Colorado.

Who knows though? I do think Philly and Colorado (despite not being a for sure cup contender although they are coming on as of late) I just see the history there being a factor if Philly doesn't work out.

I would love that too, he turned Detroit down yesterday as to not disrespect the avalanche organization and fans, he still has them in mind, it would be sick

If he really did turn down Detroit for that reason, my respect-O-meter is pinging off the charts. That is unbelievably classy of him.

Yeah, I read about him turning down the Red Wings. I thought it was good for both sides as obviously the Red Wings don't need him and the liability he brings. (They are what, 5 or 6 games from already clinching a playoff spot?) Something just absolutely ridiculous like that.

It was just always weird seeing him in a Nashville and Philly jersey and not the good ol' Avs. It's great that he wants to win a cup, but he belongs in Colorado and I feel if he could come back and actually be healthy and play and contribute along with the players they have now with Sakic, Statsny, and Smyth coming back I think they could make a run.

Of course their suspect goal-tending, which I have to admit has gotten tremendously better as of late, is going to have to be on the rest of the season for that to happen.

Flyguy, isn't Upshall hurt after the hit he took from Ovechkin last night? I know he didn't play the rest of the game...

Anyways. bigdaddy, I heard they were supposed to be back soon. Smyth still has some time with skating and rehabbing that ankle to strengthen it back up. As far as Sakic and Statsny go, I've been hearing in the next week or so.

To be for sure, only the players and the Avs organization know for sure. I'm hoping they'll be back soon because they're going to need all the help they can get to solidify their place in the playoffs. They are barely hanging on to that 8th spot but I feel when everyone is back and healthy they will take off again like they did earlier in the season.

I see them finishing 5th or 6th in the conference.

I went to watch him at the MoDo practice today, he skated very well, seemed to have no foot problems at all and seemed to have a good time out there on the ice. He even stayed out there when the practice was over for some extra shootout drill with the backup goalie.

And for the equipment fans I noticed a couple interesting details. For one thing he was wearing different skates, on his right foot he wore a Bauer XXX skate and on the left foot the newer Bauer XXXX. And he was sporting black/red (Ottawa scheme) Fury gloves, never seen him wearing those until now. Whatever the choice of colors mean, if there's even a meaning behind them?

Here's a little clip I made from today's practice, scoring a nice goal.

Thanks, Petey21. Good news.

Forsberg and Spezza on the same team? Cripes, that would be the 2 best set up guys in the league on one roster. Remeniscent of the Ducks with Pronger and Niedermeyer on the blue line.
