Its a split screen for those without centre ice package, game on 1/2 and dedicated Ovechkin on other half.

His screen took up 70% and the game was 30%.

I actually liked it until I watched him for 10mins of nothing. he didnt even have but 3-4 secs of possession time.

Kovy's at 48 now, if he lights a fire under his ass he may have a chance as well, but highly unlikely. He needed that hat trick though, he had been in a slump for almost 2 months.

On NHL.com they are saying that for tomorrows game of the week there will be a Malkin-cam.

I sincerely hope that this idea flops worse than the glow puck and 2 line passing, its so boring. Ovechkin and other great players are not fun to watch sitting on the bench.

Being said, Ovy will get 60 no doubt about it. Can he hold off Malkin for the points title? Probably.

The "iso-cam" is similar to the ovechkincam but better for 2 reasons. It only tracks malkin on the ice, and when he is on the bench, it tracks someone else.

I'm going to the bruins game today again, while unlikely, another ovey hat-trick to get 60 before going on a 4 game road trip would be nice. Win will be better than any individual stats though

Well if they beat the Hawks tomorrow night they will jump ahead of the Flyers for the 8 spot and they really need Carolina to lose to the Thrashers to pull 1 behind for the Southeast lead

I agree, it's a regular season thing, once he is in the playoffs, it's back to 0.

They are 3 points behind the canes, with 2 head to heads. They are 2 points behind philly.

I was looking at the schedule for the Caps and Philly, the Flyers play the Rangers Devils and Pittsburgh teams they have been struggling against recently but they play the Islanders where they can pick up a win. The Caps on the other hand play Florida, TB, Atlanta and the Canes, which is who Carolina plays their remaining games. The way Philly has been playing I definitely see the Caps taking the 8 spot and will probably end up playing Montreal or New Jersey.

Caps have their work cut out for them. They have not played well against Carolina this year or Florida at their houses so they are not guaranteed wins. As a Caps fan I hope we cna but am remaining cautiously optimistic.

As far as the first round goes Ill take anyone but NY Devils. Marty in the playoffs is someone I don't want to see.

Id love to face the Penguins even though they could easily take the series I think it would be good to swing the tide against them with a playoff series win. Not to mention what a great atmosphere.

As for teams the Caps can beat Id take the Senators. Their goalie situation is pretty bad, and the Caps swept the series against them.

Ill just be happy to play anyone if we can even get into the playoffs after our drought.

I think the caps are possibly on a similar swing to the pens, but a year behind.

I think they will make the playoffs, but don't think they will advance far. However, they are the kind of team that when they play the way they can and should play for a full 60 minutes, are capable of beating any team on any night.

That being said, based on regular season results, given a choice, I would love the caps to face the sens. They have swept them in the regular season, and seem to be a good match up.

Both have explosive offensive player (ovey, semin, backstrom etc vs heatley, spezza, alfie). Both have decent grinders (fisher, neil, mcammond vs steckel, laich, bradley).

The sens get the edge on defense, but when the caps d plays a full game and checks hard, they can wear down opponents. And the caps goaltending situation has been good since aquiring Huet.

Olie has only one loss in his past 5 starts (the 3-2 loss to the leafs) and in his past 4 games, his lowest GAA is 9.17. Huet has won 3 of 5, and the two losses was a one goal decision to boston and the backstrom own goal against the pens.

If they make it, they will make it interesting.

I think it was Yzerman who said it (I could be wrong) about ottawa before they went to the cup finals last year, something like "the reason they have not have playoff success is because they have not felt the playoff losses yet. You need to feel that in the pit of your stomach before your playoff mind really takes over"

The caps don't have it either, hopefully they won't need it and will sweep the east and win the cup :lol:
