Easton Toy Drive?

Recommended Posts

Heard from Mark last month, there are Toy Drive S17 orders still to be filled. Production probs caused delays, hope knowing there are stll orders in system is helpful-around here there are very few JR S17's in stores. Best to think of kids made happy with your toy donations, the stick is just a bonus whenever it arrives.

yeah, im sure there are still some outstanding orders caused by stick delays, but mine was not of that problem i guess. It was a miscommunication with my shipping address that caused the delay. i guess it doesn't hurt to call, Mark did tell me "hey we're not trying to rip anyone off or scam anyone etc etc..", just be sure to remember that if you call, they're doing us a huge favor and we always gotta be polite that something like this is even offered!

Yes, because Easton is obligated to send hundreds of toys out at Christmas.

Tax deductions. Everybody wins.

Kids get toys.

We get good feelings and sticks.

Easton gets a good image and a huge tax writeoff.

Hope everyone still waiting gets a delivery soon-my kid was estatic when he opened the box. He received a BLUE grip Sakic....didn't know Easton had grip on blue sticks-he noticed that immediately, going to fit in fine on this site one day.

Best part, at bedtime he's still talking as I'm trying to pry the S17 from his hands. He asked if I thought the kid in hospital last xmas liked his gift as much as he liked getting the S17.

If there is no Toy Drive this year we'll donate directly to the charity distributing toys to kids in hospitals.

Remember the name of it by chance? I recall something spanish sounding but all that comes to mind is Los Desperados, and I know that's wrong.

Maybe the Guru and JR could hook up and run it from MSH since Easton's forum is kaput, but I doubt that would go over very well on either side. Easton would probably get a ton more participation though, I think the number from last year was sub-200. At least we helped a lot more than 200 kids, I sent somewhere around 10 game units, though I know a few people said they sent a Nintendo DS and games.

Interesting idea, but probably tough to put together.

I don't recall either but will find out and post if Easton's not up and running late Nov. Don't want to circumvent Easton's Toy Drive in any way, lets wait to see if they don't get going again.

Think globally, act locally. Give to your local charities, that way you can take the extra $15 you would have spent on shipping and add it to the gift.

There were two charities. One was for kids in hospitals and the other was Para Los Ninos to help underprivileged kids have a good holiday.

Champions in Courage, LaFontaine's charity.

Actually, it wouldn't be tough to put together. I can contact Hughesy quite easily. But, one of those things...
