Anyone else get annoyed at PJ Stock? Tonight he showed a clip of Holmstrom in front of the net doing what he does best talking about how the NHL needs to do something about this because too many times do guys interfere with the goalie by being in the crease. Clearly shown in the clip Holmstrom does not interfere with the Ellis, he just screens him.

I believe the NHL did something about this and the rule sucked and it disrupted the game and cause to much disturbance.

Some of the things he says just annoy the hell out of me, does anyone else feel the same way?

If I remember that goal correctly, Holmstrom's feet were outside the crease but his ass was making contact with Ellis in the paint.

That said, PJ stock is annoying as hell.

When Holmstrom was on the right side he was touching Ellis, then when the play shifted Holmstrom got position first(outside of the crease) and the goalie initiated contact(if I remember correctly). Nothing bad, just the catcher on his back. It's standard procedure.

Holmstrom was clearly NOT in the crease. Now an arguement could be made on one of Briere's goals last night because their was a flyer in the crease on his one-timer.

His feet were out of the crease but there was contact with the goalie while the goalie was still in the paint. I agree with the Flyer goal. Upshall(?) absolutely prevented the goalie from having any chance at making a save.

i think the whole in the crease rule has more or less died out in the nhl. previously, the player could only be in the blue paint after the puck was in it, but if you watch brashears goal for washington the other nigh, im not sure who it was but he skates right through the crease towards brashear...

how about the ripping stock kept getting from strachan, he's annoyed me for the past little while all he does is bitch nowadays and give information that has very little credibilty. A couple weeks back he said the pens would trade Crosby, yeah opinions great but thats way in left field imo. Stocks alright but you think they could fnd someone who had a bit more of a successful career to be talking about the game. And I'm with you penguinsfanatic, i thought there was a rule in place as well lol

Who is PJ Stock? I don't know him but he sounds reatarded. If anyone should lose his job it's mike milbury. He was the worst GM I've ever seen in my life and then he gets on TV and critisizes other GMs for their miskakes. He's the biggest hypocrite in the world and he cost the islanders so much money and possible a few stanley cups. I'm a Ranger fan and I feel bad, that the isles had this moron. I love the looks Pierre Mcguire gives him sometimes. His looks are like "ARE YOU F ING KIDDING ME?"

anyone else hear don cherry say what a fro-hawk? i just dont understand that... he is funny. then he was ripping kovy for diving in like 1995

It was McLean that said that, Cherry was just repeating him.

I think he may have also confused the term 'faux hawk' with 'fro hawk'...I've never heard of the latter.

Kovy deserves to be ripped for that dive in the Nordiques/Rangers series, it was one of the most disgusting plays in the history of the NHL.

Al Strachan is a far bigger douche bag than PJ Stock ever will be.

PJ had a couple cups of coffee in the NHL, and now hosts a radio show on Team 990 in Montreal.

Actually Iginla was referring to it as a fro-hawk just before the playoffs when he got it, and many others on the team followed suit. I'm pretty sure that is where they got the term from.

Not for nothing, but you can't be that much of a NYR fan if you don't know who PJ Stock is. He started his career with the Rangers.

I agree that P.J. is very annoying. Anyone watching the Penguins vs. Sens tonight see the show during the first intermission with Cherry and Mclean:

Cherry: "You kids should go to sleep with your sticks tonight"

Mclean: "I guess I'll have my sherwood with me"

Cherry: "I'm not touching that one"

Mclean: "??????"

LMAO

Someone needs to send Gary Galley to some English lessons...so far tonight I've heard him say:

"You can't do that no more..."

"...I seen that before"

&

"...There ain't nothing wrong with those hands"

:D

fuck i hate strachan, stock, and milbury so much.

all three of them deserve eternity in hell.

There are times when the F bomb can add a descriptive element to a comment or description, this is not one of those cases. Overuse of profane language makes you look like a 13 year old kid whose mom isn't watching.

Stock may be a douche on there, but I'm getting sick and tired of Pierre Maguire every time I put a game on. Does the guy ever shut up? He is not the main colour guy, so why is it on every play I hear his voice interrupting the main colour guys? I think my favourite moment this year was him taking the stick to the head (btw if anyone has a link to a video of that, please pm it to me). A lot of play-by-play guys and analysts now-a-days are just embarrassing at times, since the trend seems to be, get the retired pro's to come on.

At the moment I only really have one complaint, I don't know who does the Montreal/Boston games but one of those guys is on Price's nuts. Every other word is about him, and it's really annoying when they mess up the commentary with lines and lines of Carey Price lovin'.

Greg Millen...former goalie...so of course he's going to be all over the young goalie.

The 2 covering the Boston/Montreal series are probably my favourite from CBC this year, I actually like Elliot Freidman (sp?) quite a bit too. His intros are always pretty good and his little odd facts about the game/players and such is pretty interesting for the most part as well imo. Any great Broadcaster/colour guy also knows when not to speak. On a different topic I find it kind of odd how they talk about this Brunstrom guy almsot everytime I see the Hotstove anyway. I know he may be good but it seems like they never really have any new news about him, just speculation about who's talking to him..but I agree with (can't remember his name right now, guy on the right with the beard), someone should give Hunter in London a call at somepoint.
