What is the difference between Vapor XXXX Pro and Vapor XXXX Gloves. They are the same price at TotalHockey.net but what is the difference please?

Thanks

Simon

as already mentioned, pro has the nylon shell, plastic inserts, and nash palm.

at the price they are both going for, both are premium!

The XXXX's feel nice but man they are ugly....

the look & feel is always subjective - I actually find them the best looking gloves on the market ;)

The Pro's felt worlds better to me when I tried them on. The inside of the standard XXXXs just felt odd and the palm seemed to have no feel to it, the Pro's had a much more natural feeling to them.

ok since nobody is posting in the other xxxx thread, i'll ask again here.

Only downside I can say is protection - you can feel it if you punch the top of the glove with your other fist. But then again, there have been tons of high-end gloves that weren't very protective. Get the regular XXXX if that concerns ya.

so the standards are more protective compared to the pros? any comparisons to the 4-rolls?

You'll notice immediately that the XXXX pro's will be a lot tighter than your 5000's.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my original post. The shop is getting the regulars in for me. I was hoping that they would be more protective. But I figured they'd be a little more tight, which I don't mind. But thanks for your help :)

Tried on a pair of the Vapor XXXX's today, the leather not the pro. Holy... Most comfortable glove ever. Far more comfortable than the 4-roll (I tired it on after.) Definitely going to buy that glove when I get the $$ together.

i was at my LHS today and i tried on a pair of xxxx pros. they were very comfortable and light.

they did not have any of the regular xxxx however so i can not tell you what the difference between the two are. as stated before too the regular xxxx will have more protection than the pros

That seems strange that the Pro's have less protection than the regular XXXX's. I would think that pro's would need more protection than us regular folk. I am aware that pro's actually may have different gloves with more protection than the retail Pro's but it still seems like an odd marketing/product decision.

Tried on the XXXX and XXXXPro yesterday, was not impressed with either.

Will be sticking with my One90s for sure...

What didn't you like about them? I thought the XXXX Pros felt great and will definitely be my next pair of gloves.
