Iron Man

Recommended Posts

Did anyone catch an early showing tonight? I just got back and I must say it was one of the best movies Ive seen in awhile. If you liked the trailers then the movie will not let you down. Id suggest going to see it as soon as you can.

30 years old and still love comics, toys, and all things nerdy. I think weird al wrote that song "white and nerdy" about me. I am going to see it this week end. Cant wait. I hope they play out iron man as the new comics do. Some what cocky and a problem drinker. I hate old school heros that were perfect in every aspect.

Any one want to play some D&D.

Going Saturday night, can't wait. This summer should have a lot of good movies and Iron Man should be a great start.

My phone just rang...

Me: "Hello!"

My Buddy Tom: "Duuuuuude!"

Me: "Hello...?"

Tom: "Duuuuude!"

Me: "Oh, Tom...was it good?"

Tom: "Dude. We just got home...thanks for telling me to stay through the credits...way worth it!""

I'm going to try to see it next week.

Haha. I love it when people pick up with a "Hello!" and not "Hello?".

Thanks for the end of credits tips though.

I get SOOOO many telemarketer calls between 5p and 9-9:30p that I rarely answer the phone with a cheery "hello"...which really sucks when it's my Mom.

I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Played the part great for Iron Man.

So...what happens after the credits for those of us that missed it?

Zach

I stayed after the credits. Well worth it. But here :

Crappy quality as it looks like they used their phone. But it works.

Awesome film. Definitely one of the best of the superhero genre so far, next to BB. Downey Jr. did a great job as Stark but Jeff Bridges as Obadiah was superb as well, though some of his in-suit antics were a little cheese.

I like how the movie used the hints at a possible War Machine later on as well as an Avengers movie.

i had heard rumors that ironman makes a brief appearance in the new hulk. So it sounds like they are really setting the stage for the avengers. Im leaving in about an hour to see Iron man.

That movie was excellent, easily on par with Batman Begins. Both of those movies were made with adults in mind, versus the camp that often invades comics movies.

Mack, I read an interview with Terence Howard in which he pretty much said War Machine would be in a second movie if they make one. (I'm going to assume that's a foregone conclusion, because I don't see how this movie could be anything other than a hit.) Regarding an Avengers movie, Robert Downey is supposed to be in The Incredible Hulk, but Marvel apparently needs to wait until they win back the rights to some of their characters. For instance, they wanted to have Namor in the second FF movie, but one of the studios owns the rights for X number of years.

The Big Three are signed on for three movies, so it should be a go. I can see Iron Man showing up in the Hulk to add to the Avengers talk. They're making a Nick Fury movie as well as a Thor movie so I imagine more cameos will be had there.

Same difference though, suit or no suit. These movies are seemingly just tying in each other though I still oppose a Thor movie.

Why?

He was always my favorite character. From what I've read about the proposed screenplay, it's supposed to be more about the gods of Asgard than Thor in Midgard. Someone suggested it would be closer to LOTR, but it would be too expensive, so it's been tabled.
