I just find it a character that will be hard to pull off in a starring role. Avengers? Sure, but I'm still skeptical about a whole movie of nothing but Thor.

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE

Marvel's first quarter financial reports, noted at Yahoo! Finance had some pleasant surprises. In addition to announcing "Iron Man 2" for April 30, 2010, it noted that Matthew Vaughan's "Thor" will be released June 4, 2010, "The First Avenger: Captain America" will debut May 6, 2011 and "The Avengers" (Janet Van Dyne more than Emma Peel) hitting the silver screen July 2011.

Aside from the issue I take with RDJ's moustache, it was a terrific movie. I've never really been one for "superheroes," so I was worried that this flick was going to be a little too "Comic Book Guy" for me, but I really, really enjoyed it.

Just got home from seeing it and I was impressed. It's obviously the first act of a series and they did a good job of giving the background and transformation while having some action along the way. Lots of hints at things to come to whet the appetite of the hard core fans and things that people will be able to look back after the next one comes out. I really didn't see RDJ as Tony Stark before the movie but I think he pulled it off pretty well.

I just got back. Pretty good stuff. Can't wait for War-Machine and possible Avengers stuff, though I hope SHIELD isn't too heavy in the Iron Man series.

I don't believe I ever saw that one...and, even if I did, I was a bit too young to be at the mercy of my hormones the way you were at the time of the movie's release. I hadn't even hit double digits yet.

yep, Nick Fury is now black, and resembles Samuel L Jackson in the Ultimate Line of Marvel Comics that reboots the story lines for the superheroes.

Interestingly I think they made Nick Fury look like Samuel L Jackson with his permission.

Just got home from it, For me it took way to long to get interesting enough for me to stay completely awake. The movie was pretty good and well done, i just disliked gwenyth very much in this.
