kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted May 3, 2008 Hey guys I am looking to get some t-shirts made up that I have designed for my brother's hockey team. What are some places that you guys have had success with? Im looking for good quality printing (like the ones you buy from the store). Any reccomendations? Thanks
prenny207 1 Report post Posted May 3, 2008 go to your local screen printer. look them up in the phone book. there's bound to be a few to choose from. that is the easiest thing to do. you will most likely have to pay a screen charge, but that is common. Rustpot 1 Report post Posted May 4, 2008 Silk ccreening is the common method and it won't crack and fade as easily. If you just want them on the cheap, 1 design, 1 color, no hassles, go to cafepress.com and upload your image.

DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2008 If there's nobody local, I had a lot of success making t-shirts for events in college with Customink.com
prenny207 1 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 screen printing is what you want. that is how the retail shirts are done. a good printer will be able to do a wide range of styles.
strosedefence34 175 Report post Posted May 5, 2008 the professionals uses screen printing and a heat press. They print the shirts then use a heat press to give them that look. I know my friend does it and he charges very little for it the only problem is he does it in Albany and he will be leaving soon for his internship in NYC otherwise I would give you out his information and maybe you two could have talked about shipping. I can talk to him soon if you would like and see what his schedule is like, but we are all pretty busy because its finals week.

All Torhs Team 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2008 I always wanted to make a few hockey ones to wear to rinks, but never actually got motivated to find a printer either. Here are some I just threw together on paint. Nothing special, but kinda have the Famous look to them except with hockey.[img=http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g206/STATEWARS90/sherwood.jpg][img=http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g206/STATEWARS90/graf.jpg][img=http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g206/STATEWARS90/ccm.jpg]

JR Boucicaut 3802 Report post Posted September 15, 2008 Yeah, I mean really...no shirtmaker would touch that with a 10' pole.

Im going to look local, but I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with some good sites. You are MUCH, MUCH better doing this locally. You'll want to interact with the embroiderer, see and TOUCH samples, and be able to handle any changes, errors, or anything else that comes up immediately and not 2-3 days' shipping away.
