John Vanbiesbrouck never won a Cup.

Left NYR in 93 (NYR won in 94)

Played in two Stanley Cup Finals (96, 01) lost in both

Retired in 2002

Devils won Cup in 2003

That being said, I'm glad he never won. Prick.

Ray Bourque

Brad Stuart-He gave a lot of good years in San Jose, and after watching him bounce around, it was nice to see him have success and win the Cup.

Speaking as a Bruins fan, seeing Bourque win it was bittersweet. It kind of stung that he had to go elsewhere to win it.

Agreed. Just wasn't the same.

Jay Wells in 94 was a nice touch.

When St.Louis won the cup against Calgary... Gave me chills.. beating his former team in the finals... but I hope Jarome eventually wins one.. he deserves it

McCarty in 08

Hopefully he is back on track

edit: being in the gutter, every year is like a dog year.

So I'm sticking by it

its a great story for mac. but he had already won it in 97,98, and in 02.

Mike Modano, Brian Bellows, Kirk Muller, Joe Mullen, and Lanny McDonald. These guys deserve their name on the Cup. They played long, hard, and earned it.

I know, but the stuff he overcame this time made it even better

Bourque for sure. Followed by Andreychuk and Brindy. I was also really glad to see Wesley win with the Canes. He by all accounts is a really solid guy and raised his game when it mattered most.

The next guys I'd really like to see win it soon are probably Sundin, Koivu and Iginla. I'm becoming a big fan of Alfie, too. Those guys never take a game off and have been model citizens for their teams and the league--not to mention that I'd like to see Canada win a Cup again. Sundin and Iginla especially, just look like they belong with the Cup hoisted over their heads. They are warriors in the best sense.

I would love to see Roenick win the cup. Just put a camera with him and turn it into a reality show.

Yeah, Roenick would be a good one.

I'd love to see Roenick win the cup too. He has been so good for so long, and his desire to win the cup has been so great, it'd be a shame if he doesn'tt win it.

I agree it would be nice for Roenick to win one. So far, the players I loved seeing raise the cup have been Leetch, Richter and Borque.

Leetch and Richter didn't have to wait as long as Borque, but they deserved it just as much, in my opinion. Not so much because of their play, but because they truly were class people. I lump Graves in that category as well. I had the opportunity to speak to the man, and he was incredibly gracious. True class.

I would say Lanny McDonald after helping single handedly losing it for his team the year prior if I'm not mistaken. I was happy for Bourque but when Brindy won the cup it was good to see a good, respectful person finally get what he's been after for so long.

On another topic I want JR to win the cup more then anyone else in the league.

Adam Graves was definitely one of the classiest hockey players ever. I remember being at a charity autograph signing when he was with the Sharks. The line was extremely long, so Graves took all the rookies out to the back of the line to sign autographs. As you said, true class.
