Sorry to thread jack, but I was also wondering about painting skates, except leather. What paint would hold up the best?

A lot of guys around here are using a couple sharpie markers. They use a silver sharpie on the red parts and the branding, and a black one on the silver parts. If you take your time and do it right, it actually comes out pretty good.

Keep in mind, just about anything you do in this regard would probably void the skate warranty.

I agree with legia. I think that the pro-tect-toe( i think that's what it's called) would work out pretty good. Just light coats until it's all blacked out. My only worry with that is that if the boot flexes will it crack a bit? Not sure though. Sounds cool.

it's a simple idea, but i would bet really difficult to pull off.

i wouldn't bother with top of the line skates. if there were $50 sure have at it.

it's not worth it, they might end up looking like crap.

wow! they look better than i would have though.

i guess if you're good at taping, it can be done.

Wonder how the paint job has held up.

They do look good but could look better if he actually used a good quality die. They look way better than the actual product. Those I would buy.

why not just start saving some cash and pick up the ONE95s??? they're better skates and they're already black

i do like the idea of a mainly black vapor xxxx tho...i just don't know if i could take spray paint or a marker to 500 dollar skates...

scary
