Tonight I went to the Porltland Pirates and Bridgeport Sound Tigers game, and a player for the Sound Tigers, #4 Mark Wotton, was using a Reebok wood stick that had 10k on it. I have never seen it nor can i find any good pictures of him using it. Is there really a 10k wood stick or is this just something for him?

That was my first thought, but, I know that Paul Boyer is a far better equipment manager than that.

Could still be a mental thing with Sammy.

Whatcha tryin to say? ;) j/k
Looks like one of my sticks when I load up. Nothing like 65 flex and my fat ass behind it!

And people should really note the fact that he is going through the puck and not planting his stick into the ice to get that whip.

Not busting your chops, just the people who think you need to push down to shoot.

Just checking. I remember it looked square which made me think CNT or SE, then I saw what looked like a line on the hosel. Could have just been the way the light hit it and a scratch. :)

Zetterberg still uses the cuff set-up from the old Easton Zero Shock gloves (see: Peter Forsberg's gloves, except that Hank's gloves have four backrolls and normal index finger/forefinger-thumb gap protection), and those cuffs used Easton's original "wrist wrap" design.

YES! Anyone know the story of Samuelsson's XXXX Pro gloves with clear plastic over the cuff rolls?
Okay, can we get back on topic?

As Chadd says, it's a mental thing, now, anyway. Sammy originally came into the league using the Jofa/early RBK glove, and he used shin guard tape to get a tighter wrist.

When he switched to Bauer Vapor 30's, he received pairs with an unbelievably stiff wrist/cuff roll. I tried on a pair of Sammy's Vapor 30's a year ago at Hockeytown Authentics, and those gloves are extremely snug, with wrists/cuff rolls so damn stiff that the average person wouldn't be able to roll their wrists at all.

His Vapor 40's are just as stiff, but he started re-taping his cuff rolls when he was in a scoring slump, in January, I believe, and he started to get going again, so he taped 'em up again, and he stuck with it.

JR. I read a few posts about the replacement for the flexlite skate, I am a season ticket holder with the WBS Penguins, One of our guys. Tim Wallace, who is beginning his third season with us and has been in flex lites since he came here from Notre Dame, has been wearing a plain black S-9 looking skate with an orange tendon gaurd. Is this the replacement or is it just a custom skate for him?
