why is the 4k such a fantasy all of a sudden? its been out for quite sometime, and players have been wearing it. i thought if any group of guys would notice that it would be us, maybe its gaining popularity? i dunno i dont watch all the much hockey any more with my wonderful job

It's the SAME helmet as the CCM Vector 8. Same lining & fit, just a slightly different shaped shell w/ a slightly different sizing mechanism.

BTW, they run BIG! If purchasing, be sure to go down one size.

The Reebok fit me and the CCM didn't.

here's a weirder one...RBK fits real well, CCM doesn't fit-ish but Easton fits perfectly and none of the bauer does for me xP

i love my nbh 8500 foam helmet, its so comfortable, but i sweat more with it.

I pretty sure its pro-stock, i like either navy or another college with navy helmets, i got it from a friend in boston.

I sized a kid in a 4, 6 and 8k today, all of them were smalls, all of them were too big for his head. I grabbed a bauer medium and he was swimming in it. I got him a small and didn't even open it out half way and it was snug on his head.

noticed Gomez was using new gloves last night, he switched from his old CCM's (5 rolls I think) to some new Vectors (not sure the models), apparantly they worked for him b/c he scored a goal so I guess he won't be switching back again anytime soon like he did in the beginning of the season.

oh wow that's interesting... they do seem to have a different shaped top/cuff (maybe just looks that way due to the graphics) and to be slightly smaller than his old ones (his old ones were huge, they almost went up his elbow).

Also, the call up from Hartford on D, Sauer, has some crazy flop going on, I'm guessing he has some pretty long custom tongues on there. I love those gloves too. Getty has a lot of good shots of him from last night.

Those are a pretty huge flop, specially with his shins coming down so low. Its amazing how some guys play with their skates seemingly completely undone at the top.

I think what you are seeing is the pads that attach to the bottom of the shin guard that lay over the top of the skate, not the tounge.

Yah, its hard to tell with his socks and tape job. I'm assuming these are extensions that are added to the bottom of shins for more protection.

Yah at the way they're angling up I'd say there his tongues. Crazy. I can skate in mine completely undone, but wouldn't ever think of playing in them! I need em done up, tongue tucked.

On a side note I don't see many colour variations of the one95 stick other then red-green-or yellow. I'd figure stamkos would have a blue one. I know bauer makes one, is there a reason for the red being so popular?

It's not a gear sighting in the NHL, but the LHS I was at at lunchtime have SE 16 all white versions. Not a fan myself, but I know some might be
