I recall hearing a Red Wings announcer (Ken Daniels) reporting that Niklas Kronwall, 6', wears a 6.5 skate.

I'm not sure they're that small...

I can't believe he was sporting his XXX's with ICM in March 2007 according to that picture. I'm too lazy to hit up Getty to search for time when he switched to XXXX's with LS2.

what size shoe do you wear? is that a significant size down from your shoe size? but hey look at it this way.. you save a helluva lot of money on skates.

brian gionta is 5'5 wears a size 7 shoe and he wears a 5.5.

i'm 5'7 and wear a size 9-9.5 shoe and my skates are a 7.5-8 (most of my older bauers (supreme series prior to the vapor line)/nikes (air accel elite.. aka fedorovs) have been 8s and my newer nikes (flexlites) are a 7.5)

speaking of gionta.. he's the only one i've seen still using the older orange synergy. (is it a new one simply painted to look like a old model? does anyone know what lie/curve he uses? i'm about the same height and am still searching for a good lie/square toed blade.. loved the easton retail shanny)

iginla back to his U+ (i remember him using one95 earlier this year) plus foote is using mission skates after using CCM for the majority of his career.

gionta switches it up, ive seen him use a One90, SL, ST, SE16, and i think even an S17 at one point...he's used that Orange ST on and off, so im just assuming its the same stock, and he is using the same batch, not having new ones painted like old ones. Ive seen his curve, and it reminds me a lot of retail Lidstrom curve, but i think the curve is less open, not 100% though
