Maybe in the mountains in winter! She could surf, ski, and skidoo all on the same day!

Let's get it back on topic...

I couldn't help myself.

Anyway, I'm a loyal mission roller hockey guy. I've been wearing their skates since i first got into roller hockey way way back. I hope they don't mess too much with a good thing.

I gotta buy a new girdle ( seeing as how the the paramedics cut mine off ) but I wont be using them for another long while. Maybe i'll just take some other peoples advice and stock up on the stuff I like.

Skate questions:

One95 / Vapor XXXX are quite stiff. Mission ice skates were more flexible. Will the more flexible skates be available in the future, for either ice or hockey? Or will the merging of the skate lines mean that all the Bauer skates will be stiff?

Will the Pitch 3 holders and steel be available or discontinued?

seeing as how the pitch 3 holders were being phazed out in the top end skates by mission anyhow, i doubt they will continue with them

Not a done deal until it is 100% complete and then announced. There is a letter of intent pending some finalities this weekend.

ok, so it's in the works and not just a rumor. Thanks.

Now that I've finally settled into a skate I'm comfortable in, in the AGX... should I consider grabbing a few sets of replacement steel, considering 3rd party manuf. like Step, etc. don't make replacement steel for the Pitch holder?

I would say it would be a good idea and look out for the replacement steel. I have an old pair of Mission pure fly's with that torsion bar in the middle of the holder. Supposedly they say its too stiff and cracks the steel. I don't generate enough torque/skate hard enough to break it so I don't really have to worry about this problem. Anyhow, I picked up an extra set for pretty cheap.

I don't see any of this stuff around anymore.

Wow. Thanks for the useful insight.

I was assuming so, but I also like to put the question out there, as these guys here are pretty reputable sources, and would have any insight if a Pitch replacement was in the works with say a Step, or Hotblades....Considering JR is going on a Pitch horde leads me to believe all signs point to no. I just hope he's not the same size as me, as I'm sure he'll beat me out to every set on the Least Coast.

I'm curious to see what will happen with the customer service end. Mission has had spot on service ever since they started as a company, it's always seemed fairly personal as well as doing a great job keeping (most) people happy.

I don't know if it was a "company" policy or what, but I love that Zac and Justin post on here, and go way out of their way to help people and answer questions. I hope that Bauer keeps someone from the Mission end posting here, and maybe takes the cue and has their own rep post here.
