Both Kolzig and Smith are wearing 'Saw 5' masks...that are being auctioned off when they are done with them. What do you think about them using the team as a marketing tool for their movies...

And, how long before they do something where the team (or League) are worked into a movie?

I think it really cheapens the game, but I suppose it really is a matter of time before more, and varied, types of advertising appear on NHL equipment. However, until/if it is eventually illegal he can use his team to promote whatever he desires through any allowed means. That the broadcasters were in all likelihood handed scripted comments regarding the masks must've makes him seem like a Seaward exploiting his employees (I expect some people to get that reference, and not just the phonetics).

Seeing an NHL franchise in tastefully done movie on the other hand would help publicize the league, instead of using the game as an avenue to promote an owner's project.

I'm not a fan of the mask, I don't really care about the "lower bowl saw" promo... but I don't care. I haven't seen any of the Saw movies and I don't plan on seeing any of the new or old ones, ever. I just don't find those movies entertaining, I'd rather go to every lightning home game this season and watch them lose in OT, then waste my time watching a Saw movie... At least at hockey games, I can be entertained, whether it's "My" team with a good play or the opposing team.

They've had six in mind for as long as I can remember. The first and fourth were the only ones above average, with the fourth's twist easily the best yet.
