A very bad translation, took this off hfboards and this is what a poster had to say:

"At this point the bid has been accepted which means it is pretty much going to happen. All of the deal-breakers to this point have been overcome. Sher-Wood will continue to develop their high-end goalie line, while most of the composite will be TPS designed product with Sher-Wood graphics. Thats about all I can say at this point."

Not exactly.

From what I have heard, they won't be able to use any of the patents/technology that TPS developed.

Regardless, any way you slice it, TPS is done.

if they can't use TPS' technology/patents as per composite use, why bother?? I didn't think TPS Goal was that much of a concern. Maybe they should have bought Christian and stuck to wood

The sad thing is that a couple Sher Wood reps have been telling dealers not to put in orders to TPS and wait "a couple weeks" to put them in with them. Of course they've been saying that for four months.

Do we get any official release or info from someone in the know?

You can't get an official release until there is something official.

I would guess it's happening real soon. Last week, SWD offered us a extra 5% discount if we paid off our remaining invoices. Perhaps they needed the $$$ to complete the sale. The woman at SWD we spoke to was very excited about the TPS sale and wasn't secretive about it, rather upbeat that now SWD had some (new) money for investments and products.

Are they going to attempt to do what torspo did with the kor factories (did I get that right?)? Or did they just get a chance at some good prices for factories and materials and took advantage?

Once this deal does become 'official' how long will it be until TPS equipment stops being available? Will TPS continue to operate until a certain date or is it pretty much whatever is in stores now is the last of the stock?

Hockey Giant is closing out all TPS sticks at the moment.

Is this in-store only? It seems like the online prices are still the same.

im still finding it hard to see this beneficial to SWD if they dont get TPS technology...

They get a name that might appeal to someone who doesn't use a 5030?

What happens to the patents then? Put in a safe to collect dust?

If there are debtors, the patents can go to those that TPS owes money to, as intellectual property has value. from there, it can be licensed to sherwood (or whomever wants to use it). Or the parent company may retain it.

either way someone will own it, and if someone wants to use it, they can pay for it. Otherwise they'll simply expire over time, per patent law. My guess is nobody will want it. But, who knows, maybe someone wants to make an xn10

I'm pretty sure that Hillerich & Bradsby still owns the patents, since some of them were used in other divisions. Therefore they would not be included in the assets of TPS Sports, the company that bought the hockey division from H&B.
