Bauer one95 update

Recommended Posts

Seriously, how many times have I answered this question?

The ONE95 product that came out THIS year will be the last NBH product. Anything NEW in 2009 will be Bauer. And seriously, the BAUeR thing is getting ANNOYING.

Seriously does it really matter if its Bauer or NikeBauer? They both originate in the same place for crying out loud.

Well, it does. If you change the skates and the sticks to Bauer logos, then it gives the impression to customers that the NBH product is old. So, by letting the 2008 NBH product die out as NBH, it eliminates that. That's why the new ownership had rights to the NBH logo for 18 months after the sale.

Yeah, but this one goes to 11. Or 12kkkkkkkkk.

That made absolutely no sense.

I'm personally just not a fan of the way the swoosh looks, I was almost angry when it showed up and am happy it will be gone. I know Nike brought some good things to the table and whatnot, but I will be more inclined to wait and buy the next iteration of product from Bauer after the swoosh is phased out. Lets hope the 4-rolls only get better with the next iteration.

New liner in them.

Interesting. I like the Dri-Fit liner. Equipment dries out nice and quick.

Will the liner be anything like Dri-Fit on the new One95 protective line?

People complain about Nike, and I'm not sure why (other then people just being biased and not liking the 'Swoosh'?), that is one of the many things that Nike did for Bauer, the fabric technology was great. Dri-Fit, Nike Memory Foam, Nike Air technology, Nike Vent Armor, Grip Print... it is those things that make the One90 line of protective as good as they are... Hopefully Bauer builds on that.

Bauer never had a problem putting out great skates... however, if memory serves, Bauer's equipment was crap until Nike came along.

Didn't Bauer have the FLAK line of protective gear? Or did that not come about till after Nike bought them?

Ooh, good call. FLAK came out in the Canstar days.

Yes, it had the small Bauer logo on there. And FLAK definitely wasn't crap.

Nope, until last week, I still used my Flak shoulder pads from '93-94.
