If you were to order custom sticks

Recommended Posts

I thought i'd do this for fun...i'm always interested on peoples curves, i couldn't be bothered to search if someones done this before so feel free to close it

Hopefully this can also answer many of the sticks questions too. So i thought just put what your sticks specs would be and just be a simple why you choose it...and hopefully this will be a fun thread.

Depth - 1/2" - 12mm (Slight)

Curve - Mid

Face - In between closed+ slightly open, Some sites call it neutral

Toe - Rounded Square

Blade Length - Short

Lie - 5.5

Flex - 85

Hand - Right

No grip, definitely a stiff blade though

I guess its pretty much the Iginla curve, i'm mainly a wrister snapper guy and i'm your classic speedster winger, i've considered using a mid-toe curve but it seems to hook my wristers off target more so i stuck to the mid. I like using pretty straight curves because if i try to shoot low, i hate it if the pucks goes flying higher than it needs to. Short blade length coz i feel like it gives me more control and i get my shots off real fast. Neutral face coz it makes it a little easier to flip the puck up under pressure. Rounded Square coz it helps dig out pucks and its still ok control over wrist shots.

half the people here are going to list retail curve specs, and the most of the others will not know their specs. imo

but here it is

5/8'' heel, open wedge, round toe, long blade, lie 5, flex 90, right hand.

basically a bigger drury, more wedge and a lower lie.

Meh, why not.

I want basically a very small heel(like crosby pro) with a toe curve, similar to the Afanasenkov/Kovalchuk. Neutral blade face.

Lie of about 6.5, big rocker that gets bigger at the toe.

About 11" long blade.

85-95 flex, stick dependent. Higher kickpoint => higher flex. Flex to be accurate with the stick length being about 56-57" long.

Add z-tac on the blade. XN10 shaft with a the pro stock(with the thicker weave) CCM blade.

Depth - 1/2" - 12mm

Curve - Mid Heel

Face - slightly open

Toe - Round

Blade - Length Medium

Lie - 5.5

Flex - 90

Hand - Right

Length - 59"

Nothing too special, keeping in mind I'm not really a stick guy. Maybe less than a 1/2" deep though, not sure...

haha thats cool, didn't figure some people use 5.3 lies or whatever...TBL are u a D-man or just a slapper dude? =P

I like a high lie, with the big rocker I can extend further and bring the puck in closer, especially with the shorter stick.

My favorite stick of all time was a Easton Pro Stock (Andrew) LADD. It was a Sakic pattern that had been flattened a bit and trimmed about 1/4" in length.

Depth - 3/8"

Curve - Mid

Face - Open

Toe - Round

Blade - Medium

Lie - 5.5

Flex - Easton 85 or Bauer 77

Shaft finish - Easton Non-grip finish or Bauer Tactile finish

Hand - Left

depth: 1/4" (slight curve through out--toe is only 1/4" forward of heel)

type: heel

face: open wedge

length: short

lie: 5

shaft: no grip, 100 flex (think stealth cnt)

would like the sticks to be fused with tapered wood blades

Nice I would like to try that blade. Except a 5 lie and probably less rocker than you want.

Bauer Lindros curve, with a touch more curve. Bottom of the blade slightly flattened. Nice round toe. Thinner blade profile. Z-tac coating on the blade. 85 flex. Light grip. Perfect. (Pretty similar actually to the Malkin Pro.)

Thats pretty much the curve I am making up now for my new custom blades, but with a lower lie.

Face - Slightly open

Toe - Round

Blade - Medium

Lie - 4.25

Flex - 80

Shaft finish - Mission Soft Touch or Inno Polarfibre

Blade finish - Z-tac

Hand - Right
