Attendance at the Frozen Four, 2009

Recommended Posts

It has been talked about in the Washington Capitals' Thread, but a list of anyone going? I'm not sure where my seats are since my brother has the tickets, but if you guys are there and want to meet up during or afterward, let me know!

I wish I could go, this has been extremely exciting tournament so far.

I was thinking about going, but ended up deciding to go on vacation that weekend instead. I went to the FF in '02 (Minneapolis) and '04 (Boston) and had a fantastic time, its a great tourney.

It has unfortunately been sold out since tickets went on sale months and months ago. Sold out in a day IIRC. Scalping is definitely an option, but that opens a whole new can of worms.

I believe Miami of Ohio will win this tourney. They are a well-coached team with a stifling defense. They're not great offensively, but none of the teams in the tourney will remind you of past offensive juggernauts. I think the Redhawks win 4-1 over BU.

BU should take this 3-2.

I wish I could go. But alas, I am out in the Pacific Northwest. Bit of a trek for me.

Miami is pretty good defensively though. It has been awhile since any NCAA team has played that style of hockey, which is tough to beat in a playoff type setup. This has been a fairly boring NCAA tourney thus far, but Miami has piqued my interest. I like their coach, maybe he can come to the U of MN and teach them how to play defense. heh

I think this tourney has been pretty exciting. Lots of last-second goals and a couple OTs (including a through-the-net game winner).

I just graduated from Miami last May and I still play intramurals up there a few times a week. This is our chance at our first national title in ANY sport. Go 'HAWKS!

Just got back from DC. Heck of a city. Craziest tourney ever with an even crazier ending. Good God that was absurd.

Even got a chance to skate at Kettler. Prob not going to Detroit though. Not down with this cheesy football field hockey stuff and to be honest, I'm not sure I want to go to Detroit as a destination. Still grabbed a ticket for priority purposes, however.

Really can't wait for Tampa in 2012.

Had tickets to the championship game. It was amazing. What a finish.

It was weird watching a game at verizon center where you didn't have a team to root for and was just watching good hockey. Hopefully it comes back to DC again as I would definitely go again.
