Warrior Hustler shins

Recommended Posts

so i was at pro life in vaughn and they just got the warrior shins today...i was really pumped about the shins i put them on, felt real nice but it was 139.99!!!!! (can) i was like wtf, so one of the dudes there was like screw those check out the bauer one95s i wasn't really a bauer fan (flame away ;P) but he was like its 20 bucks cheaper and i was like ok... so i try them on and its got everything the warrior one has AND more, it felt better too...

so if it was just me i would go ahead and get the one95s over the hustler and save some cash...but thats just me...thought i'd let u guys know

got myself some one95 elbows too...didn't have any warrior to compare it to though...one of the best in feel department that i've used though

Those DR Centurions in 94 were close to bulletproof... Only problem was only a goalie would need that much protection. Have they been mentioned in the "HUGE SHINGUARD" thread you had awhile back. I had a pair and wore for about 2 weeks and had to stop using them. Calf guards were insane. Biggest i've ever seen.

The Ferland golds I was selling are similar, for under half of what the Warriors are going for they're miles ahead in protection. You could get hit by a car wearing these and you'd be fine. Who wants to try? I have the car.

A Teamate of mine has Ferland Golds and he blocks so many shots and pops up like their nothing.

Interesting. I am still thinking about the Warrior Hustlers shins after being impressed by the elbows. I read that they are not as bulky in general. I could care less about the Warrior name, but if they feel better than the One95's, then an extra $20 for pads that should last me a long time isn't much to pay.

Anyone else have any feedback on these?

I have the Hustler shins and they are great for me. Fairly light and fit well. No knee pain and haven't felt a shot yet. I paid $90 back last fall at my LHS.

I've been playing in the Warrior Hustlers for about 6 months. I came from NB One90 shins which were just too bulky for me. I love the slim fit of the Warriors. I do wish the bottom strap was a little longer. I have big calves and it's pretty much useless to me.

This is sounding more and more like what I am looking for. I like slimmer profiles on shin guards. Thanks for the feedback. I'll try some one at my LHS later.

Yea, you can buy them for like $25 nowadays

If you want a slim profile, get the Sherwood classics

Thanks for the suggestions, but stuff that old isn't even on the radar for me. I like new stuff. I'll check out the Hustlers tonight hopefully.

just a comment on one95 elbows and warrior hustlers

the hustler is 3 piece design so you get a bit more mobility than a one95. if mobility is your thing, i'd strongly suggest the husters in that department

Picked up the last pair in my size last night. I had to go to 2 LHSs. They are on clearance! I haven't had a chance to really test them out but they seem pretty nice.

Quick update on these. They are going back to the store. I never tried them on the ice, but I found some Vapor XXXX's that I like much better, for less too (discontinued / clearance).

for those that have the warrior hustler shinnies, how do u like the fit and design of the shin guard?

and does the length of the shin guard match up well with others in terms of the padding and plastic material at the top and bottom?

BTW just saw the warrior catalogue. i noticed the hustler shin guards are no long black, but grey and white.

anybody have info on the new style?
