greech 4 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 That is annoying, almost as bad as the jackass on his cellphone who stands up and waves when the play passes by him. Jesus H. Di Matteo98 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 I think it is the worst when some guy has a sign in front of you! When I was watching the Oilers game on T.V. a while ago this one guy keep putting up this sign "Terrace is hockeyville" every time the play would go near him he put up a bright green sign. It started to annoy me, personally I would of killed the guy with his sign in the first period if I paid for a seat !. Then I see about 10 mins left the guy behind the Terrace sign guy rips the sign! And an amazing Sam Gagner goal.

And an amazing Sam Gagner goal.I was at the Winter Classic and a similar thing happened. This woman with had this huge sign saying something not related to hockey (I don't remember what it said) and wouldn't listen to about 10 people telling her to put it down. Eventually a large (and drunk) man threatened to take it and rip it up, and we never saw it again. If you want to make a sign for an event, go to a WWE show. It seemed a lot more than normal. so I paid attention the next time the B's played at home, where there was hardly any knocking on the glass. Consequently, I'd chalk it up to newbies doing this, but unfortunately teaching other newbies that that is what is expected.

There was a guy that I saw at plenty of Lowell Devils home games who would pound the boards all the time.

TBLfan 25 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Most of those front row seats are given away(corporate seats, I believe)... tons of non-Lightning or new hockey fans on the glass.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 There are people that have had front row tickets here in Hershey for decades that still act like that. Some people are just obnoxious.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 Very much agreed. The ushers come down and tell the idiots to stop as well as the season ticket holders 3-4 rows up... So they stop for 4 minutes. I had to yell at a guy that kept standing up during play in front of us about a month ago. He stands up, I tell him to sit down. Then it of course goes on to "Hey Motley Crue(long-haired dirty-looking 80s rocker looking douche bag), sit the f*ck down!". He finally stopped when I said "Are you f*cking stupid? sit the f*ck down." He turns around and sees me and about 10 other people snarling at him.

Race4LastPlace 31 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 lol i remember from watching the pens-flyers game this past weekend as during a stoppage the camera focused on Crosby for about 15 seconds as he was standing against the boards. Several fans would beat on the glass then flip him off! The camera stayed there as i remember seeing one guy get up and beat the glass with the back of his hand, middle finger up
dumbpolak9 1 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 i get mad when lets take the devils for example: when there is a chant going on and the lower section isnt cheering or when the devils score the lower level people don't cheer. and when you have a date to a game but all she does is text. and that one fan that thinks everything going on against his team (a hit or something) is a penalty

jmiami 4 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 The worst in my opinion is when fans throw stuff at players like has happened a couple times in Rangers/Caps series. I like to think that anyone who has actually PLAYED hockey, or any sport, for that matter, would never throw something at an athlete. That is beyond disgusting. yrhmblnr8r 69 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 A few years ago my brother and a buddy and I were at a PGA event. Late Thursday round we were sitting on the hill by the turn. We'd been making fun of the Get-in-the-hole guys all day, so my brother said he was going to be that guy. Phil was lining up a 25-30 footer. Once it was off the putter, but the crowd was still silent, my brother dropped a loud "Get in the hole!" drawing a couple dirty looks from guys sitting next to us. Then the putt starting looking better and better. The whole crowd perked up as it broke back and dropped into the cup.My buddy and brother then have this exchangeBuddy: "You see that? Phil Mickelson just pointed his putter at you!"Brother: "Really!?!?"Buddy: "Noooooo!"On top of that, as Phil was walking up to the clubhouse some drunk guy followed him along the rope the whole way saying, "You own this course, Phil. You f***ing OWN it." until the marshals stepped in.Good times all around.
