I ran into that and ended up dumping someone for a really low pick in the next year's draft. I always forget to change the time for my season to start so I end up not signing some of the draft picks. Apparently so do computer teams as there are usually at least 5-6 solid prospects as FAs.

Can anyone help me out? Twice I've offerred Blake Wheeler a contract, and he says he would take it but my roster is fulll. I've tried a 2 for 1 trade with every team and they are all full. Is there a way I can cut my lowest guy and bring Wheeler on?

Can't you just send a player you don't want to the free agent pool? I think it was an option before, at least I think I remember using such option before.

He may be in the FA signing period, which I think is too late to buy out players.

Any one run into an issue where the name will not let your progress beyond the Jersey Select Screen because the opposing teams' jersey is locked? When this happens the game asks you to enter a code, but the code has not yet been released by EA.

This happened to me against Buffalo in my season and I had to sim the game to get past it, which resulted in a loss. I was quite annoyed.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

they will release the code when all the teams have revealed their new jerseys, just select an old one

Unfortunately in a season you cannot select the other team and therefore you cannot change their jersey. The only way around it is too sim the game. I tried other methods like backing out of the season and reloading it to see if they would pick another jersey but it didn't work and I had to sim the game.

Other than that (and I know it will be fixed so I can't really complain), the game is a pretty solid offering over last years version.

You should be able to. The controller icon doesn't move over, but if you press left/right, you will be able to select their jerseys.

They haven't fixed the double minor problem when after the whistle my palyer gets pushed around and I don't do anything and still end up in the box too while I haven't done anything to deserve it.

According to the EA forums, they're working on a patch to solve the XP issues in Be A GM. Supposedly they'll be fixing the problems of players not spending points on attributes, and also being capped at 1500 XP.

They've got to fix some tripping penalties. The guy getting tripped doesn't actually do the physical action of falling or tripping and they're calling them penalties.

The freaking lag time between calling and making passes needs to get fixed too. Online I mean. EASHL.

The guy doesn't have to go down for it to be a penalty in the NHL, this is supposed to reflect that type of play.

There's a lot of instances where the guy doesn't do anything except move in another direction slightly and the stick happened to be near his ankle.

There's also too many instances of the laws of physics not applying with phasing polygons. Guys are making plays and taking shots when I've got the body and stick on them and their stick is just phasing through for a full follow-through and that's ridiculous.

An object can't just go through another one the way it does in this game sometimes.

It's called clipping and I read in one article that the game developers would be more or less unable to get rid of clipping as far as stick-net, stick-stick, etc. contact goes. I guess it just isn't feasible to do that with the current technology.

Looks like a vs. shootout. The AI goalie doesn't usually sit in the back of the net and then poke check.

I love the "hip check" button, I just find it funny when you push it and the opposing player skates into you and flips over.

Any have their game freeze after a fight? It's a 100% chance for my game to freeze after a fight, win or lose where it shows the two players going to the penalty box. It pisses me off. I'm likely going to turn off fighting completely.

hey, all. my name is Simon, and am obviously new here on MSH, but not new to forums...this topic bodes well for me.

does anyone feel like when they're playing online, the opponent has a slight 'edge'? those games that you're destined to lose, where goalies stop everything, and no matter what you do (stick lift, hit, poke check), a player skates around your D and scores?

it's like the opposition can stick lift faster than anything you've ever seen.

leads me to think....is there some sort of glitch or controller hack that lets people have such an edge?

before all the haters come in and say "you suck at the game"....i've been playing the EA NHL series games since '94 on SNES, PC, PS2, and now X360, and never have i felt so helpless in a game.

i'm currently 30-20-3...most of my losses by one goal, and losing to 'glitch' goals or last second B.S.

/end rant.

please share your experiences with online play and tell me i'm not crazy.
