getthekidthepuck 32 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 It looks to me that Luca Cunti #79 for Rimouski is using an easton woody, anyone else noticed this?
Amac27 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 Yeah, I thought the same thing. I couldn't really get a good look at it though.
dangler16 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 it's a Easton wood Z-carbon with black spray paint. I've only seen a few eastons during the tournament. Kelowna has almost all Nike Bauers. The Q teams have CCM and RBK sticks. Drummondville's Kulikov is the only player i've seen with a composite easton

Drummondville's Kulikov is the only player i've seen with a composite eastonit all depends on which company the team has their contract with. besides sticks and skates...all gear has to be rbk/ccm but each team has their own contract for sticks...The Everett Silvertips of the WHL is easton, where Seattle is RBK/CCM etc... habookus 1 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 Haha i knew somebody on this board would notice that he was using a wooden stick. I found that Cunti has a weird style, he's very upright and holds his hands really close together.
dangler16 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 thanks for the info kitay. Just was we were talking about Cunti he wasn't 'stick' strong on the guy in front and Drummondville won in OT.

SirJW 207 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 I was gonna start a thread like this. The stick question has been answered, so I'll just ask my other question here. Since players can only wear CCM helmets what do they do if they don't fit? Do they get custom padding? Same question works for AHL and the RBK lids.
furlanitalia 1 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 I thought they all wore rbk helmets.... either way i'm sure they get them adjusted to fit.

HattrickSwayze 3 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 I was just watching the Kelowna-Windsor game I recorded on my DVR, and when there was a goal under review, they played the live conversation between the official and the goal review guys(?) on the broadcast. Why don't they do that with the NHL? That's awesome.

Dupes 1 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 In the Q, you dont have a choice, its either CCM or Reebok. Everyone wears the same thing, at least in 99% of the players :)
IniNew 53 Report post Posted May 21, 2009 Apologies for not knowing the answer to this, but why is Kelowna's logo a dragon when they are called the Rockets?

They aren't the retail ones though, i know most of them use 4 rolls that are done up to look like the retail ones, just wanted to add that if anyone was wondering
Dougie8 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2009 I know most of the teams in the CHL wore RBK gloves last year, so the players wearing RBK helmets and gloves are probably just guys from the team last year who didnt want to make the switch over, or another reason I just thought of was if they had problems with their gloves or helmets, they probably have alot of extra RBK gear laying around which they could substitute in with no problem.
