Mission 2010 skate sneak peek

Hey all....been quite some time since i've been here. So long, I was un aware that bauer bought out mission (or vise-versa :P )

Anyways, when are these slated for release? My beloved D2c's finally crapped out after six years and I am in bad need of skates. If it won't be too long, I may be able to limp by on my D2c's for another month or so. Otherwise, I need to break down and get some skates.

Any picks of the middle road skates? (Or, tell me the black and gold is middle of the road and I would be happy. :D

There are some pretty good highlight montages from Pro, D1 and others plus some funny interviews. I liked the Pat McCherry on Roller Hockey night in Canada :D

Black & Gold is the top of the line, followed by the black and blue. In one of the pictures you can see the tops of a red and black skate as well as silver/grey and black. I'll take a stab and say silver/grey is the lower skate from the SE line with red being middle/lower depending on how many models there are

Boss will have gold, Commander will go blue, Assassin red and Soldier will have a green accent. We will also have an all new low end skate line.

Here's the colors, the silver/gray might be Bauer line

As far as the toe cap, we had to pick something to use based on not being able to develop something new. Not enough development time to make something legit in time for the 2010 season, and didn't want to rush it. We went with the Bauer toe cap because it is one of the better, if not the best, toe caps in the game. We will have some thing new on the 2011 Mission skate line that is in development now.

We now have the ability to utilize the Bauer resources to make our skates. Which has already helped us this year. The concept's are still cooked up on the floors of California. The best roller hockey company and the best skate company in the world. I can only imagine what the next few years may bring.........

Ok...Thats answers it....So basically nothing has changed with the sizing since like 2000...I have always worn 1-1/2 size down from my shoe size in Missions...I have never found them to run true to shoe size...Thanks for the info

I personally wear Bauers a half size larger than Missions, so 8.5 Mission 8 Bauer. Best to try them on first as always

Having had long discussions with skate guys, just because they use a supreme last does not mean it will fit just like a supreme. The types, locations and amounts of padding can change the fit of the skate quite a bit. It sounds like they're just trying to maximize efficiency in the asian factory by not introducing an additional last into the manufacturing process. It will be interesting to see how the mission fans feel about this series of skates.

Are we talking quality issues, or just skates not fitting as advertised?

Loving the new Mission line and the Bauer line. I'll definitely be upgrading from my He10000's next summer but now I've a ton of great looking options to choose from. It's nice to see that Mission has moved away from the gaudy white skates.
