Team Canada 2010 Olympic Logo?

The IOC wont let them use their traditional logo. I'm pretty sure I read that they have come up w/ an alternate that was approved for use. Has anyone seen it and is it out for the public to see?

I believe that some time ago on sportscenter they were showing a couple of the designs that hockey canada was looking at but, I'm not 100% sure.

These are two home/road options they are going with. They are very similar, but I'm not really sure if it's the final. I heard they thinking about the jerseys from the 72" summit series.

Really, as an american I'd really like to see what the USA will be wearing. I don't think they are allowed to use their USA logo either.

Actually, Latest I heard is they just took the player out of their normal logo.

USA will probably just do a block USA.

I dont get why Hockey Canada doesn't want the Olympic teams to use their logo, they are representing Hockey Canada???

It is the IOC that isn't letting them use the Hockey Canada logo. There was a thread a while back about this and the IOC's reasoning for the ban.

The USA Jersey logo is the USA from the main one of those marks. The exact same. I would be shocked if they allowed it.

The USA Jersey logo is the USA from the main one of those marks. The exact same. I would be shocked if they allowed it.

The logo the US uses on their jerseys is the one with the blue "U", the "S" with the red and white stripes as the tail and the blue "A" with a star in the middle.

That logo and the hockey player in the red and black maple leaf was not allowed to be used in the olympics by the IOC because they don't allow sports federations to put their logo on olympic jerseys. Previously, the canadian olympic commitee and the US olympic commitee asked for special permission. During the Bejiing games, the IOC didn't allow the Brazilian and Argentian soccer team to wear their crests. Now the COC and the USOC don't want to ask for permission and the IIHF can't do anything without support from the COC and USOC.

Neither of the logos are allowed. I guess canada really cares so it's easy to find threads and ideas on the situation. I can't find anything about it when it comes to the US jersey.

Funny that the IOC won't allow the logos from sports federations, but they're fine with a big Nike Swoosh plastered across the front. It will be awesome in 15 years when the USA's crest is just the wal-mart logo.

Black isn't an official Canadien colour. Unfortunately, it isn't even found on our flag. Apparently red and white only.

i remember the canadian national basketball team had a black on their jersey...pretty sure other canadian national teams have some black in it, red/white is just too plain

i think whats killing it is the fact that on the away jerseys the Canada and the maple leaf is red...on a red jersey
