Easton Stealth S19 Initial Thoughts/Link to long-term review

Recommended Posts

I may entertain the idea of buying an S19 if they're a bit more robust. I was BSing with the owner of a LHS a couple weeks back..He's a big Easton guy but stated that his 16 yr old DAUGHTER went through 10 S17s in about 2 months.

It's nice that Easton is addressing a big durability issue. Every single S17 I repaired last season was broken in the elliptical portion of the shaft.

On top?

My only beef with the S17 was with the blades softening. I'm curious to hear what the blade is like in a month or so.

+1. Is this a new stick to you JR or a pro-stock left over of some sorts.

Can you let us know when the blade breaks, how long it lasted etc.

I loved the stick but broke the blade in a manner of weeks. Would consider another one if it would last as long as my one 90 (a year and still kicking),

Are there any major changes to the stick in terms of design? It sounds like this is a "fixed" version of the S17 with better durability, but is the kickpoint supposed to be any different?

This came directly from Easton for review.

Pretty much from just above the fuse point and up. I was very surprised that I didn't get any blades to repair. Normally what I see are a blade or mid shaft break on Easton sticks.

Nice feeling and looking stick. Just wait till consumers see the price tag on it. Remember when the 9K0 came out and the price it was. $239 ring a bell to anyone???

Are you really that surprised? S17 Grips and non grip go for like $230 and $220.

Looks nice and simple, let's see about a month from now to see how the durability is. $240 price tag is fine as long as all the issues from the 17 has been address.

Not really, considering I'll still get them at cost, but it better be worth it.

Edit: Nice looking stick, I'll give it a go when I get a hold of one.
