Ballistik 52 caliber

Recommended Posts

Anyone have one of these? I ordered one from the LHS today in a toe curve model. I tried the mid curve and toe and liked the toe curve.. Very sweet meat hook on that one. Only had one, but I wanted 2. So one is coming. So should I get 2 free pairs of gloves? They're supposedly the lightest stick on the market today

Out of curiosity which LHS? I am in the cities as well and none of the LHS I normally visit carry Ballistik - I would like to take a look at them.

Dont have the 52 Cal OPS, but got the shaft... really nice, light, rounded edges. Paired it up with a Vhex blade, and the whole thing feels very very light and balanced.

Am goign to try to get another 2 more shafts, in a lighter flex. The 100 flex isnt really doing it for me.

wife tried to get me one for father's day, no LHS carry them, so she called the company, who didn't have any 85 flex's. They gave her a # of a shop in washington to call, but they didn't have any either :( dying to try one out

yea, ballistik has come leaps and bounds since its inception (still got the original superflex from them from back in the day)

Am trying to get some 90 flexs... a couple of tapered shafts would be the end to my stick collecting.

Are you sure about that Kev? :P

If Ballistik come back to me overnight I'll let you know mate, if not I'll just get myself an SE16.

Positively yes... I've got too many tapered comp blades, and cant justify another OPS. The 52 Cal SE I've got has me sold on them yet again... Once my current stash of OPS goes, I'll just get shafts.

Already tried to contact Ballistik at their website... will give them a call tomorrow

You can thank me for that latest addiction. :P

Heard back from Chris by the way, Kev. He's gonna give me a call back tomorrow with an update. B)

Can you post the pic of the one your have? I don't see any true toes, mostly mids and mid-toes (well maybe the far right could be a toe). Also whats the name or model number of the curve?

What’s the email for them? I tired calling and the person who answered the phone said she wasn't sure if you could order sticks over the phone or online. Tried transferring me to the "hockey guy" but he wasn't there. I'd like to pick up the .52 cal. Anyone making progress?

I did a long term review for them on the 45 caliber and I still have to find fault with it apart from the chipping that is purely cosmetic.

I would imagine the 52 caliber is better again.

I have played with a .22 caliber for many years now and have been throughly pleased. I bought it as a pro stock leftover at a local PIAS for 60 bucks and the value compared tot he weight is awesome. So if their other sticks are like this, then I will be buying them again

I couldn't fnd one, so I shot an email through to their warranty department hoping for a re-direct. But I've had no response, so I probably wouldn't advise going the same route.

The ballistik factory is right down the road from me, but i've had them make custom 52cal shafts for me, 80flex and height is fit to perfection. I used to like the feel of the wooden blades.. The shafts is awesome, ive had them make about 10 or so for me so far. Getting warn down and going to go back to order more, wondering if i should try the one-piece or stick with the shaft?

would like to see there curves.........strange how they dont show curves on website...what were they thinking

From their catalog/brochure:

MC: Similar to Modano

HCS: Similar to Lidstrom

SC: Similar to Spezza

CC: Similar to Coffey

TC: Similar to Sakic

HCR: Similar to Drury

IC: Similar to Iginla

I'm not entirely sure what those abbreviations stand for, though one could make educated guesses...

Probably just the name of the curve it's modeled after, and square or rounded toe on the heel curves.

Just got a 52 cal yesterday for a long term review. Very nice stick! Definitely feels like one of the lightest sticks out there, and is very, very well balanced.

I'm doing the long term review on the 45 caliber. And I can confirm that the 45 caliber is lighter than an Easton SL

Here is my reveiw (initial, I will be updating weekly)
