Although it's kind of getting off topic..

One thing about the Fusion steel that I am a little concerned about is durability. I know Bauer has put a lot of time on producing this product and therefore I hope they've overcome the issue, but the part where the two metals meet seems kinda dubious. Thermal expansion coefficients are definitely going to vary, and going from room temperature to ice temperature on a daily basis (or maybe even more), not to mention heating from sharpenings is definitely going to cause some kind of fatigue at the fuse point.

We'll have to wait to see though.

That is a solid argument, I am curious of how the 2 metals are fused. I read here, I think, they are riveted, but I'm curious if it's just that, or there is something like a resin binding them together, or are the 2 metals metallurgical fused (I don't know even if it can be done)

I was going through the Bauer catalog now as there is deadline for booking orders coming up. I found this info about Fusion steel: "Aluminum on top. Stainless steel on the bottom. 10 strategically located metal pins, combined with epoxy resins, in between."

I was just checking out some Ottawa Senators used sticks and I saw something I have never seen before...

I picked up one of Spezza's 10K sticks and I noticed it weighed about a thousand pounds.....

It was a wood stick painted exactly like a 10K O.P.S, down to the serial number and pro stock stamp....

Sweet curve though....

No...Would have it was composite... I have enough sticks already! They did have Jesse Winchesters 10k, had a similar curve minus the shaved down toe.

hmm...

On a completely different note, when the hell is Vinny Prospal gonna get Rangeres gloves? What the hell are those anyway??

(Does Brash still have Caps gloves too?)

They are his Tampa gloves. And gonna say no to Brashear's being Caps gloves. They're Bauer branded.

Jussi Jokinen is still using his Tampa gloves after being there what, two years now?

Dunno if he will switch permanently but he has been using an Easton S19 at practices, we will know at today's game if he has finally gone back to OPS again.

Winchester's curve is the same as a retail Heatley, and the last time i was at the Sens store they had 2 Sher-wood Rm19's in wood and 2 OPS that were Spezza's. They were trying to sell the wood ones the same price as the OPS's for a 100 bucks...

This 10K was nothing close to a retail curve of any kind....And yes they were at Scotia Bank Place at the Sens Store...

P.S sick goal for spezz yesterday...

Niskanen uses a ST painted like S17. The lie is about 5.5 and the flex is 95. Weird-ass toe on the pattern too.

just got back from sens store, looking for a few ryan shannon one95s. no luck, but they had a winchester 10k. same as heatly, but with a toe hook on it. almost looked like it got stuck in the door on the bench.

They dont have many right hand sticks there, but i think there is only 8 or 9 guys on the sens that shoot right. The Winchester's i have had and saw were Heatley clones but last time i talked to him he said he might change it up a little, but the blades on his sticks are really narrow and and thin.

Paul Kariya using the 2010 ST shaft.

What Bauer skates does Kariya wear? They look like old school Bauer 4000. That would be pretty cool in my book.

I love the irony that the young Kariya was essentially the first composite stick poster boy (talking up composites even in their infancy) and the old Kariya is wearing the same skates and using the same stick since 1999.

I've held Kariya's skates in my hands. JR is right. Real old school. Heavy too! He also has the top eyelets cut off. His brother Martin has basically the same skates as well.
