But to me growing up in the 80's he is always oiler, it's like when I show my dad the McFarlene figures with Orr as a Blackhawk and Hull as a Jet, my dad wants to rage.

I think it would be similar, but it's not reeling off every player and who you associate them with, as each team has 1 selection.

So for instance, would Vancouver be Bure or Linden, or maybe Luongo for the newer fans?? Could spark some debate which I thought may be interesting :)

It's not what franchise do you associate with the player, which is what it sounded like you were suggesting in your post. It's what player do you assosiate with the franchise.

For example, if you only pick one player from the pens, I'm gonna bet it's not Francis.
