Adam91 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2009 I will never, ever, EVER forget this one. I was playing Juniors at the time, sitting in my billet's basement with my roomy just going "OHHHHH! OHHHHH!" when they scored the OT touchdown to get within one, followed by "OHHHH! OHHHH! OHHHHH! OHHHH!" when Ian Johnson snuck in the corner for the win. Unreal. I still get goosebumps.I can't believe i forgot this...Still by far the great football game I've ever watched.
maxamillion 3 Report post Posted September 9, 2009 Now I haven't been alive for a lot of the big, big events, but one of the biggest sports memories I have is definitely the Phils winning the World Series last yearI snuck into a bar that night (not that hard that night really) on broad and watched the end of that game, and partied like a mother fucker that night. seriously the greatest night of my life. I remember the disbelief, followed by all of us in the bar pouring out into the street, wondering where everyone was, and by the time that thought passed through my head being surrounded by hundreds of thousands of people. It was the first time I was ever part of that large of a crowd, and I got an entire block singing the chorus to "We are the Champions" (cliché I know, but it's been a while for us, and it was my first real championship.I don't know if this was mentioned yet, but the BoSox comeback in 04 was pretty epic, leading to the most anticlimactic world series in recent memory. fawn111 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2009 Wings fan..... 1997One of the last games of the season against Colorado.... this was after Lemieux drilled Draper in the playoffs the year prior.... McCarty grabs Lemieux and pounds the shit out of him as Lemieux turtles and gets his ass kicked.Vernon beats up Roy, Larianov beats up Forsberg, Shanahan beats up everybody....fights everywhere...Wings score 2 in the third to tie and then get the overtime goal by McCarty with assists from Shanny and LarianovThis was the game that I think, along with most of the hockey world united the Wings and gave them the momentum to sail throgh the plyiffs to their first cup in a loooooong loooooong time.To this day, my favorite NHL game ever.
