Which of these 4 gloves would you choose...

Recommended Posts

Sherwood is the best for the price cause they are so cheap. I use Bauer 4 Rolls and I LOVE them. Sadly they dont have a 12 1/2 so they are a tad too big for my hands, but it is worth it.

I honestly thing the Warrior Hitman, is one of the ugliest gloves I have ever seen.

I would vote for the Bonafide's. The fit (for my hands) is really nice. It's a snugger fit than most 4-rolls, feels broken in, and has a really soft palm. If I hadn't bought my Eagle's, I would've bought a pair of the Warrior's.

But, that's on my hands. Your hands or preferences are probably different than mine, so it's hard to say which works best for you.

I don't see Bauer four rolls as one of his options, I guess I missed something. I would go with the sherwood, especially if you can find a pair in nylon. out of all the options they fit me the best and were the closest to what I like. Your preferences may vary.

I have a pair of the 9950 Pros. They were difficult at first, stiff glove compared to what I was used to, but after break in, they are amazing.

The Sherwood 9950's are by far the best bang for your buck. Excellent protection at a very reasonable price. You really don't need anything else.

How do they compare in nylon and other version? Each good or is one better?

I dont usually use the synthetic leather, but on my Sherwoods thats what I was given and I was quite surprised with them. They held up fine, no rips or tears on the leather, palms wore out, but nothing too bad. All in all they are a very underated glove.

I havent tried a pair in nylon, but I'm sure they hold up just aswell as the leather do.

Nylon generally feels more supple out of the box. Since I'm lazy and don't want to have to work to break in my gloves, I tend to prefer nylon. There is no real advantage other than that.

My main problem with buying any kit is that my local hockey shop is a) miles away B) poorly stocked and c) rude.

So i cant try anything on before buying, hence a lot of posts from me on reviews and opinions.

I play with a pair of 13.5" Easton Ultra Lites right now, I 'think' they fit ok but i have nothing to compare them too. I'd say i have pretty thick, lean hands - but i dont really have long spindly fingers or anything.

Any suggestions on the right size for me would be great

go for the bonafide, your getting essentially a downspected franchise with not much noticible difference. i agree with above posters that is it a tigher fitting 4 roll, but after you break them in and get used to it, ther're great
