Modo, I think what you don't understand is that through numerous contacts, I repeat NUMEROUS contacts, we get information about new products from numerous manufacturers. It would be a shame if this sort of connection was lost do to one person going on and on about their singular contact.

Think of it this way: Manufacturers use MSH as a valuable source of feedback. There is no better and cheaper way for them to know what the average hockey playing Joe thinks about a product. Every here and there I even feel that we have changed minor things in the industry.

As for the companies' fear of prematurely published info: Just imagine you run a big business like Bauer and you plan to relaese a new product, let's say Vapor XXX skates. You'd be in trouble if everybody knew about the XXX skates half a year (or earlier) before they come out. Why? Simply because people would stop buying the XX skates and rather wait for the XXX.

Take JR's connection to Mission for example. I know he knows many many details about their future products. He even is on a pair of Mission skates that is yet to be released. What do you think what would happen if he posted all kinds of info, pics etc. about the new Mission skate? Guys would stop buying the S500 skate waiting for the new product.

JR has had pics of the Helium stuff well before it was even produced. What impact would it have had had he posted the pics for everyone? Answer: See above.
