Palms

Recommended Posts

Hello all. Im getting my Bauer 4 rolls repalmed. Im not well informed on the whole palm material. But I have an option. One is nash natural clorino double palm which is recommended by Mark Brennan from Peaches Pro Repair, and number two is the Eagle MSH2 which he says he has to order and will cost 10 dollars more. So can you guys help me make a decision fast. I'm looking to send these gloves out within 2-3 days THANKS!

I have 2 pair of PPF's and there's nothing like the Eagle palms IMO. I also have a couple pair of Easton pro 4-rolls and a pair of RBK pro 9K's. When any of them need repalming I'll likely go to the MSH style material.

I have the MSH2 and like them but they are a bit slick. I have a One95 stick um and non-grip and I need to candycane or spray them to get a better grip. It's also worth mentioning that I've been using a grip-type stick since 2000 so I tend to stay away from non-grip stuff (just got a really good deal on the plain One95).

Edit- wanted to also make it clear, that these are my favorite palms I've ever used.

MSH 2 is more slick than I like but anything is better than a nash palm.

Were can I go / send my gloves to get the gloves done in the msh 2? Thanks

Did you read the first post in the topic?

Yeah I did read, there web page also happens to be dead... So I was looking for other options out there. A simple here or there would suffice.

(I'm posting this with the intent of helping the op as well)

what about digital palms? Was that a warrior high end palm? Anyone have any thoughts?

Mark at peaches told me the digital were supple but not durable.

I changed my palm order on a pair of glove from eagle palms to nash. Now I am kind of kicking myself for that after trying a pair of eagles on at a shop. Oh well. They're supposed to be done tomorrow, so I am not going to change anything now. I haven't a had a problem with nash before, but man those eagle palms feel great!

I'm considering a repalming as well for an old pair of gloves and toying around with the idea of doing something different to my top and bottom hands- durability on top and better feel on bottom.

I'd rather have a palm that provides great feel and control over the stick and doesn't last quite as long, than a durable palm that is slick and/or doesn't allow you to feel the stick as well.

Chadd,

Not sure if that was a response to my post or not, but that's another part of my consideration for the two different palms. I've had little to no issue with wear or tear on my bottom hand during my entire career which is why I'd considering something like digital on the bottom but something more durable, maybe double layered, on top. Maybe it's PP for me, but any glove I've ever used on my top hand felt fine regardless of palm.

No, that was more about the comment about digital not being durable. Since I started using the oggie foam on the butt end of my sticks, I haven't worn through a palm. I used to destroy the palm on my top hand, but softening the edges on the end has made a huge difference in terms of durability.
