Gaborik Curve?

Would be cool if Easton did a custom program like Bauer's ID. I'd be very interested in trying a 75 flex Shanahan SE16.

Just curious...is the Gaborik curve even legal? What about the Coffey curve? I know the NHL increased the legal curve to 9/16", but even then, those curves were pushing it.

I still have 2 Synergy Gaborik ST's, going to put them both on Ebay soon (used). Broke my Ryan Smyth Warrior yesterday so I'm running out of big hooks. Easton needs to bring back the Gaborik hook ASAP.

Pretty sure the NHL increased to 3/4"

Around here (MN), most if not all of the high school leagues are limited to 1/2" I believe but I don't know how much it's actually enforced.

Gaborik curve is being re-released on a limited basis on the SE16 only with a different lie. SHould be available June/July along with the Shanahan curve re-named as Cammalleri.

So what lie will it have if it's not 5.5? 75 Flex available?

I never got the deal with the Gaborik curve. It's essentially a Coffey curve, arguably Sherwood's most popular curve (5030 too) and Easton is arguably on of the most popular stick companies today. So the most common curve from thebmost common stick company gets removed. What am I missing, I'm assuming it just didn't sell well for Easton?

I had four older stealth's in that curve that I bought from HM on closeout. I got to the point where I couldn't keep my shot down with that curve, so I sold 2 of them on Ebay. There must be a lot of people out there who love that curve as I auctioned the sticks and they sold for far more than I paid for them.

Anyway, good to hear the Gaborik is coming back. It may not be the most popular, but the people who like it will buy it.

I find it odd though... A release like that in the summer when the Synergy line is said to get re-done in Fall... Figured they would have waited...

But I am all for it! I loved my SE16's and loved the Shanahan curve (despite the player it was named after).

I would love to try that curve as a novelty act...I could never use the original bananaman (aka yzerman) since it had a 6 lie. I use a 5 lie, but I could probably get away with a 5.5
