Every member of the Hamilton Bulldogs is being fitted for custom foot protectors. The team has made it mandatory for all players to wear a set.

Not really. I'm surprised that teams didn't write visor requirements into contracts before the lockout.

Typically the use of safety equipment is mandated by law not company policy.

Doesn't hange much. They are actually confortable.

Most of the Habs players wear them too.

That's interesting since last year most of the players were wearing Skate Fenders. They had a whole bin of them that they just tossed at the end of the year. They cost around $80 compared to the $500 bucks these custom moulded ones cost. I tried to get more info from the guy doing the moulding but he spoke only french. I'll try to get some pics of the finished product when it arrives. I swear by the Skate Fenders. Hardly notice them and have taken a slap shot of the foot and didn't feel a thing.
