I give him credit though. Dubie is a tough cookie. Reminds me of the fight he tried to get into last season, but was overtaken by one of his teammates (can't recall who it was, but he was a fighter stepping up for OV)

Pretty sucky fight. Maybe one or two punches actually landed the rest were misses. Props to Ovie though for fighting somebody who is known to scrap here and there (cough cough Crosby)

Yeah really .. Ovechkin didnt do shit hardly. People act like Crosby is one of the biggest pussies to ever play the game but the reality is he's a strong guy who does drop the gloves ... how many years has Ovechkin been playing in the league and this is his first fight? I dont hate Ovechkin THAT much but the way people ride his dick is unreal, Crosby is not a pussy and hes acomplished way more then Ovechkin and is also the better player, end of story.

No but he didn't pull a Sean Avery and ragdoll around until he could single out a guy that never fights. I give Ovechkin credit for fighting, even if he didn't do very well. It's hard to tell if Ovie landed the very first punch, but it looked like he couldn't decide whether he wanted to throw lefts or rights. Dubinsky got the couple good uppercuts in tohugh. When they're on the ice, Dubinsky gives him the "good game" tap on the side. I like to see that after a fight sometimes.

Funny people are fighting over who gets to say they give Ovechkin credit for fighting but Crosby must have been in 4 or 5 now and hes still getting called a pussy ..

I wouldn't mind seeing a Crosby/Ovechkin fight. I think if they meet in the playoffs again it just may happen. In my opinion, it is always good when the stars decide to throw mitts once in a while. That said, I'm not going to fawn over them when they do.

As for whether those two guys are pussies, I don't think so. They play through more guff and grief than most guys and are a target every night. I think if they threw a little more then it would buy them a little more space out there, and then watch what they could do.

If those guys are pussies, I don't know what the hell I am because I would get crushed against either of them within 10 seconds probably. Although I'm not a big fan of Crosby or Ovechkin (I respect their skills, I'm just not a fanboy), I do recognize the fact that they are 2 really strong guys that have to deal with a lot of crap during their games. I'm just sick of hearing about them everytime one of them does something that happens every night in the nhl...like a fight.

That was not his first NHL fight, and he was in atleast one for dynamo Moscow; but really, why do the ovys and crosbys need to fight? It's not their primary job and it does nothing but take ice time (ie the powerplay while ovi was in the box) from players and it's a huge liability to the team to have $10mil in salary throwing elbows.

They sign players like dj king and aaron asham for a reason.

Off the top of my head, we've seen Iginla/Lecavalier and Thornton/Getzlaf tilts in the playoffs. There are plenty of other examples out there. It can be an effective way of firing up your squad.

Yup, it's not really risking injury, it's a pretty low risk of injury in a fight that isn't with one of the elite tough guys in the NHL. It probably wouldn't be much of a fight but it would be interesting to see.
