Sharpening Prices

Recommended Posts

Depends on the place here in the GTA, but it's generally $4 for the big-box stores, $5 for ProHockeyLife, Hockey Experts, $6-8 (don't remember) for the LHSs.

FBV is $10 for the LHSs and $5 at HockeyExperts :D

Where do you have them done?

Currently I'm getting mine done at the Fessenden School, because it's easiest for me to get to. It's $6 there.

Wrangler as far as I know Total Hockey is the only place I have found with FBV in the Chicago area.

Thanks. Northbrook is the closest for me. Where do you go?

What did the guy look like?

I did not see who did it, I dropped them off to a shorter guy up front. There where five or six pair ahead of me so I came back later.

Yay  Gonna try and head out there soon and get one done. Never had a FBV sharpening. Will see how it goes.

I hate it!! They put an 100/50 FBV on my skates and they dont feel "sharp"?? Got them back, put them on in shinny and wanted to sharpen them again!! Any ideas from MSH'ers? If your a guy that likes really sharp skates....what FBV would I use? TY

Lot of info/discussion on that in this thread:

Especially the last few pages, regarding your question.
