I completely agree with him on his take about Warrior and their branding/color choices for sticks. I took a good 7 years off from hockey from 2001 to 2008 and when I got back into it I was completely new to Warrior products. Until the Widow/2011 Dolo came out recently I couldn't stand the look of any of their offerings and never seriously considered trying out their sticks. That's just my opinion though as it seems steering away from the pack initially was a smart choice as far as brand recognition goes.

Likewise, and also the product names. "Johnson" stick, "Stroker" glove? Gimme a break!!

Agree a million times over with his opinion on Warrior marketing. No one I play with (rec, old) have ever brought a Warrior product into the dressing room, and his reasoning eloquently sums up why.

I'm guessing that when they first started out, people like you were not their target market. With proven success at the nHL level however, we can see that Warrior has toned down the craziness and color schemes, with the Widow, Diablo and such, reverting back to the now-popular subtl black look.

Not hard to guess that one right.

That part about crosby wearing another companies boot was interesting. Anyone have any other details on this?

Yes.

It's total bullshit.

He may not have the Pump, but it is a Reebok skate.

I really liked his post on Puck Daddy about the joining a new team and this one was pretty good too. Too bad he wasn't in the show and could add some more input. Guess we're just gonna have to wait for that.

Oh and I posted a comment in there and I kinda exaggerated it a bit so don't mind it! :PP

I even thought that some of their names were ridiculous and designs as well. The Stroker and Johnson were pretty damn funny though. I'm glad they are getting away from those gimmicks and the Diablo and Widow designs are 100% better than the previous.

Other than just making up a lot of shit that wasn't true or accurate, it was great.
